Yeah, I haven't actually done anything in the ABC, but I am in the league. Oh wait, I did vote on the HOF ballot. I am looking forward to that one too, I've never done a talent only league, should be a challenge for me to get used to.

Just one quick suggestion. Put the 5 day FA sims at the beginning of the FA season. Simply because more is going on then and gives the owners more of a chance to jockey around with the prize FA. If you were to leave it at 10 then most of the time the top guys will go to the team that gave the highest bid on day 1 and another team that had made a lower bid will not get another shot at raising his bid accordingly because the FA will think after 9 more days that no one else is going to give them more money. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it will happen quite often.

Do you mean that other teams will be able to see what I bid on a player?

Good point. I'll shift around then.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll rescind that part then. Thanks for catching these things for me. It's why I've posted the preliminary rules, so that people can pick it apart and help me refine it.

Just a general update. We have 4 confirmed GMs as of this moment, leaving 12 spots open.

I wouldn't call it picking them apart Everything else looks great. The Events system looks tremendous BTW. It should create an incredibly unique league concept.

Oh and guys, I'm playing around with importing databases via historical leagues but it won't let me start in 1900. Would 1901 be okay if I can't figure out how to start in 1900?

You can import team by team for 1900. I just don't think you can do a league wide 1900 import. 1901 is a fine starting point for me, it will be less work on your end.

Okay, I'll check with the others then.

And I also think I'll change the draft order for the amateur draft. It'll be by record except for the following:

The losers of the two league championships will have third and fourth to last picks. The order they go in will be determined by their regular season record.

The second to last pick goes to the pennant winner who does not win whatever our version of the World Series is.

The last pick then goes to the team that won it all.

Cool I was thinking of basing them in the Pennsylvania coal mining area of the 1900's, did think of the cotton mills in South Carolina aka Joe Jackson but seeing I'm a big fan and read alot of stuff about him I'd prob end up subconsciously putting stuff in about him.

Ok, I'm sold (despite the FA). I'd like a team if you'll have me.
