Better/more interesting way to do it: after a series win, the winning team gets to select one member from the team they just beat, and keep his services for the remainder of the playoffs.

That would be a lot of contract issues... but I guess it would be kinda cool. Especially if they have to sit around with torches surrounding them.

These people make me cringe.

edit....I pretty much have a 100% failure rate when making sports predictions, but I have not been as sure about a prediction as I am about an Angels World Series victory this year now.
