The Scout Suggestions (Safe and Risky) needs to be reworked. I've had numerous times when my scout lists a player at the top of the safe suggestions and also at the top of risky suggestions. Seems the scouts in the game either suck or are very confused.

Would also like to see clearer indicators for Line Chemistry. It doesn't really feel important the way it's currently implemented.

I'd been meaning to make a larger dedicated post about this topic recently. WIth the addition of the tactical feedback recently it got me thinking, what other ways are there to answer "Why does my team suck?" I'm going through it at the moment with CBJ in the year 2029. I'm utilising the tactical feedback system to make sure I'm playing to everyones strengths, I'm using Toby's advanced stats tool to make sure guys are performing to their abilities and it just leaves the question of....are these guys clicking on their lines?

The current hover mechanic and small dedicated box on the player page are just a very timid way of letting you know about what is (at least in the real world) a vital part of getting a team to click. So like you, I'd love to see some tweaks to this to reflect it's (hopeful) importance in the game engine.

I've always wondered though, why is chemistry not reciprocal? Is that not a strange concept that someone may have great chemistry with someone else who may only have 'slight' chemistry in return. I have always thought of chemistry as a synergy between two things and not a one way street.

I'd love to know Jeff's take on the chemistry system in it's current incarnation.

I wonder if it's the game's way of representing a benefit to the player? So maybe one player benefits more from chemistry than the other one does?

Yeah, and it even says as much, that just because one player has good chemistry with his linemates doesn't mean the same applies with all his linemates. Which is why it would be nice if there was an email from the Assistant or something that would alert us if a player was unhappy with his linemates.

Do you mean unhappy in it's current state in the game? I don't think players get unhappy with non chemistry linemates for that reason alone.

I agree on the email, it would be nice to have 1 of my plethora of assistant coaches send me a monthly message letting me know of line chemistry developments (or lack thereof) - It would go a small way towards progressing into more in depth analysis like Toby's tool just to have that extra info.

I have one. Can we PLEASE separate the Setting Lineups & Tactics automation? Just have it where it's Setting Lineups as its own automation or not and Setting Tactics/Tendencies as its own setting for automation or not. This would be an absolute dandy, b/c it resets my tactics whenever the playoffs starts and won't let me override individual player tendencies when it's ticked. This would be extremely helpful in future updates for me

Historical records, not only by NHL.

There could be 2 categories:
- Real historical records + my game
- Only records done in my current game

- Reduce the number of unsportsmanlike like penalties. In most games they make up half or more of the penalty calls.

- For the ones that are called, add a news item to explain in detail what the player did (same goes for suspensions)

- Make waivers work the way they do in the NHL so we don't have to use a workaround that causes more problems than it solves.

- make the tiles customizeable for the team info screen. Small thing, but it bugs me to see the "parent teams" space wasted for NHL and other top tier leagues.

- Fix the weird glitch that creates a bunch of gray jerseys in the jersey graphics folder if I edit team colors which then results is generic home jerseys being created.

- Focus on the NHL game. I know that may annoy people who play other leagues but this is the one NHL licenced text sim so it should be the best, most accurate representation of that league.

I play almost exclusively in Historical Mode, and it would be really nice to take over an expansion team & participate in the expansion draft without having to sim the previous season & using Commissioner Mode to make myself GM of the team.

I don't know which path this gaming franchise is going to, but if European leagues are playable, it would be relevant to iron out some issues:
- loans & tryouts (based on Jeff's feedback, this requires redesigning & coding)
- more contract negotiation options (player/club option years, bonuses etc.)
- more active AI offering trades...played 3 seasons so far and haven't got any
- agents' offering players to clubs

GUI
- this is a larger issue, but after 40+ hours I still feel navigation through the menus is not a intuitive task...some revamping is needed

At least at the NHL level you can offer try outs during the preseason.
They have bonuses
Putting players on the block will get you trade offers. If you don't the AI will assume you're not looking to trade.

Yes, managing NHL club is a more complete experience compared to European side. What I've understood, game's contract framework and mechanics are different for European and NA leagues.

I've played solely Old World's leagues to get a better grasp if it's worth my time or not and listing in the Bugs thread my findings to bring those on a table. I know, game's main market is NA and development resources are limited, but I hope the basic mechanics will be completed some day.

(For example; NHL team decided to send its contracted player to a European club after league's trade deadline was passed. As a GM, I can't block such a move or send those "NHL loans" to minors to have more playtime, as a game's contract mechanics doesn't allow such a transfer.)

id love to see FHM 10 overhaul the UI a bit and give the user more "control"...

basically what I mean is I'd like to be able to set what I see on certain screens.... I'd like to change what my roster screen shows me by default, or be able to edit my own depth chart (while maintaining the scout opinion) ... there should be a salary cap screen that lets me toggle players as applying/not applying to the cap, and give me some blank spaces to pencil in possible FA signings, so I can better plan my cap spending inside the game as opposed to Excel or notepad

there are a ton of other little things I think of while I play and never write down, but I think the point is clear, just give the user more control of what they see on different screens

thanks

also IMO the player bio screen should default to "Career Highlights" instead of the much more cluttered "Complete History"

Can the cap go up automatically each season, without having to use commissioner mode?

would love to be able to ask me assistants for their suggestions without actually having those suggestions set in the lines/tactics that i'd then have to change if I disagree..

You can actually do that with the save option for the lines - save the line setup before asking, then if you don't like what it does, re-load your original setup.

When using the lineups feature it would help if there was a fitness % level button, which could be set so the assistant ignores dressing players who are currently below that level.

Unless I'm missing something , the only way round preventing the assistant using a player with low fitness levels is to move the player down the lineup screen, but that kind of defeats the purpose of using the feature in the first place.
