I'm right there with ya, I've ran the Muckboys/Bears a number of times already and it's killing me as the matches are damn close everytime. I've been trying to figure plans to remove Chionoi from the Bears cause he's been slapping Tellez and Soto around everytime I run the sims.

I hope his success continues when we meet for real. Chartchai was the only veteran on my expansion roster. Now as a prime 3 he's an even more important cog on my team. Archie Moore at 13 takes up a lot of cap and I need to compensate with guys like Chartchai Chionoi and Andy Ganigan. When I think about my roster those guys are more untradable than someone like Elmer Ray. I still use my idea that a fighter should generate three times his rating in points to be considered effective in a season. I mentioned it a while back as one of the yardsticks that I use to look at my fighters.

I let both him and Young Perez go after season one - I can't for the life of me tell you why, but I'd sure like to have them back.

The trading wire will close in 24 hours.

Season 4 for the UTBA is ready for the opening bell. The first matches of season 4 will begin on Friday night featuring a match between Bears Unstable @ Muckboys. Should be a good one.

Yeah, those successful low rated fighters are play a very important role in a teams success. Look at the three champs we've had they all had quality lower rated guys you with Perez and Chionoi, Icetea had Jimmy Britt, and Tosti had Noel. You can't win without them.

I'm looking forward to the season starting. I'm hoping my tweaking of my roster works out with Kane and Azteca. My big draft day decision was chosing between Kane and Black Bill. They have similar CF's but Kane has defensive shortcomings but more power and as a 7 helps more with my cap. Benny Lynch would have been my first choice but he was snagged just before me. I wasn't expecting Bill to be there and Kane was my plan B. He fit into my overall team philosophy better than Bill. Given the league KO bonus and my scoring the most KOs last season that preference should be obvious. Wouldn't have been able to add Azteca had I drafted Black bill without having to weaken myself in another weight class. Azteca is a bit of a personal favorite. When Ring Record books were the main source of information about fighters (the pre Boxrec era) Azteca was listed as a five decade guy. He's almost as much of a cultural icon in Mexico as Pedro Infante.

I've got 6 fighters rated 9 or above. That's 120 fights on the season, if I don't get 95-100 wins out of those guys I will be looking at a top 3-5 pick.

I have a 100% confidence in the Iceman that he has sent out the latest UTBA update. I will be sending out instructions to the 8 that volunteered to add fighters to the draft pool shortly. Please use the men group only for your selections.

I based the numbers/ratings for the draft pool instructions on the following list posted below. I'm trying to balance the fighter ratings out as close as I can across all 8 weight classes. I'd say in 2 or 3 more seasons, the numbers and ratings should all even out with no more expansion teams joining the league.
