For example Bobby Martin has been a very good Giant for a long time now. He's that middle infielder type I may like to see as a 3b coach or future manager. Just wondering who he belongs to.

Tom
My spreadsheet lists every ancestor ever signed up & who they all belong to. I'll look over your roster & send you a PM shortly.

Alter Sennelnekoff, Walter Davis, Ted McMurray, Surrel Slater, Bill Reed, Doug McMurray, Cecil Reed and Eric Slater were added to the league for the 1946 season... This is the first official draft class for our human GM's!

Next up are Houston "Snuff" Boler (kaboone), Herbert "Wayne" Yordy (spiffamous), Harvey "Hangman" Gaunt (metsgeek), Wilford "Red Wood" Woodworth (woody5254) and Rufus "Nuclear" Nagel (metsgeek) in 1947.

That depends on how quickly I get the league file ready. I won't want to rush into our 1st real draft, so if I had to guess I'd say next Monday, 9/13... but it could be a few days sooner.

Yes, we plan to follow MLB history to a tee, as much as possible, so we will definitely be expanding. I'll put your name on the waiting list at the new site.

We haven't had any new ancestor additions in a while...... I may have to fix that if noone else steps up to the plate.

That was for pitchers created back before ootp6 came out & explained how I was translating the v5 talents (i.e. avoid hits, etc) to v6 (i.e. stuff, etc).

Just for comparison, A-Rod is 6'3, 210. He's considered a big SS I suppose. When imported into TWB, I'll trim down the weight but probably not the height. I agree with fantasy, but in our world, it has to at least resemble reality.

To be honest, it doesn't matter one bit. A few months, on the OOTP6 Forum, I asked if height and weight affected development or performance.

Markus answered with a resounding NO. Height and weight is simply aesthetic.....although, to be honest, it would be cool if it did affect things slightly.

A dream come true :-)

FIRST NAME Doug
LAST NAME Fowler
BIRTHDATE 9/13/1969 (Note - I entered Kindergarten when still 4, so I *would* be finished /whigh school at age 17 and thus should be draft eligible in June 1987, at 17, not 1988, unless you want to say my skills get pushed up a little playing in an Independent Leaague)
PREFERRED POSITION P
ALTERNATE POSITION 3B, 2B
SPECIALTY Stuff (Contact if an infielder)
2ND SPECIALTY Duration (Defense if an infielder)

OPTIONAL:
NICKNAME Doug "Fair or" Fowler (my Bermanism), Throwback (because I’d throw lots of complete games & insist on coming in in relief if I could; I’d be like Orel Hershiser int hat way); Maybe "Preacher," being a dedicated Christian who would never drink, smoke, cuss, etc.
HEIGHT 5’8"
WEIGHT 165
NUMBER 93 (I might just have gone with the "time" announced on a loudspeaker in a silly dream I had when little - just to be different. I’d also use Abbott & Costello jokes a lot w/their plays on words)
BATS (R/L/S) R
THROWS (R/L) R

Thanks. I’m thinking about getting the game, but more importantly, this would be gobs of fun because in real life, I’ve got 20/800 vision (mostly blind, can red this stuff w/nose a few inches from the screen), had a tiny bit of cerebral palsey, and some hearing loss, all since birth.
The above positions were what I dreamed of being as a kid. Just think of me like Orel Hershiser, the man who sang the Doxology in the dugout & on the Tonight Show after the ‘88 season.

And, indeed, I’m leaving the law practice & going to seminary (well, I’ll quit law once I become a preacher), and I’d likely be gearing toward a seminary as my career wound down as a ballplayer, too.

-------------------------------------

Before me comes:
FIRST NAME Don (actually his middle name, a common thing for his generation, full name James Donald Myer)
LAST NAME Myer
BIRTHDATE 11/5/1920, was in the war, maybe get him a cup of coffee int he bigs if nothing else, I only found this now
DOD: 6/19/1998, of comlications of lupus (heart attack)
PREFERRED POSITION 1B
ALTERNATE POSITION LF, RF
SPECIALTY Eye (he was a pilot, though never made it over to Europe)
2ND SPECIALTY Contact; though clubhouse leadership if possible, alwaays quite funny, loved to joke around, yet very calm, consistent, great at giving advice, etc.. The kind of man who they'd say would make the ideal manager, except he'd rather settle down & work for the post office & raise a family than stay in the game

OPTIONAL:
NICKNAME Buster
HEIGHT 5’7"
WEIGHT 150
NUMBER Not sure, maybe 17 for the B-17 Bomber and also my grandma's birthday wsa the 17th of November
BATS (R/L/S) R
THROWS (R/L) R

Currently we are in 1946, and Don would have premiered in 1938. From what I understand, you can change the birthdate so that he can premiere in the next Ammy Draft (1947) or he can be a well established rookie for 1947 (he would be 27). You can talk it over with Matt.
