Home Run Derby 1959-1960

Shot in 1959-1960 at minor league park, Wrigley Field, Los Angeles. (where Cubs and Pirates minor league teams played before the Dodgers came to L.A.) It was hosted by Mark Scott.
Here's the list of Home Run Derby baseball cards. I don't know if this covers every player who participated because it would be hard to host a tournament with 19 players.
First the host, Mark Scott got a card of his own - (card #17) . then the list of competitors included: (cards 1 through 16): Hank Aaron, Bob Allison, Ernie Banks, Ken Boyer, Bob Cerv, Rocky Colavito, Gil Hodges, Jackie Jensen, Al Kaline, Harmon Killebrew, Jim Lemon, Mickey Mantle, Eddie Mathews, Willie Mays, Wally Post, Frank Robinson, (and cards 18-20): Duke Snider,Dick Stuart, and Gus Triandos.
Put any four of these guys on any one team and you'd have an unstoppable "Murderer's Row", if you got even halfway decent pitching.

The Angels played in Wrigley Field for their first season (1961) as well.

A reminder:

As I noted a few weeks ago I am unable to spend as much time monitoring the forum as I had in the past. My relative absence, however, does not change the forum rules--both those stated in the Forum Rules and Posting Guidelines and those specific to the image threads, most recently summarized here. In this thread I've removed two unwatermarked images which came from TV and done the same with one image in the Gambo and TWil_1 Photopack thread.

If there's any question about whether an image is suitable to post on the forum, please PM me first before sharing.

Apalachicola, FLA - song for 1947 hipster cats and dolls

The song about Jimmy Bloodworth's home town on the Gulf Of Mexico in the Florida panhandle. "Apalachicola F-L_A" was not only a hit song by Bing Crosby in 1947 but it was performed by Bob Hope and Crosby in their movie "The Road to Rio", which was released in the same year..

I'm organizing the Topps Vault Folder UU (compliments of 'RAINMAKER') for my 'dice' game. Can anyone help me identify UU540, Chop Country has it listed as Fritz Peterson? Thanks to all. Regards 'luvbblogos'.

Ort: Need ID help for pplayers on this page

Thanks for continuing to do colorizations on that batch of Phillies.
I'd like the Gus Niarhos one on page 16 colorized when you get the chance. Thanks!
I have a few questions on player IDs for players on this page (19).
Phillies 11: Player #1 at the top (ist of the 5)
Phillies 12: Player #4 between Ashburn & Harmon (I'm guessing Kazanski but I'm not certain).
Phillies 13: Player #5 at the bottom - a pitcher.
Phillies 14: Players #s 1 & 3 - players before and after Joey Jay.

Thanks again!

When you try saving these doesn't the player name show up in the file name?

Paul Martin 1955

I don't think that's Paul Martin above... Martin is listed as a righthander. Here's the only verified image I've seen of him.
