Okay, I throw in Granderson to the deal, but then we want Buck Farmer. Our batting practice guy has a sore arm.
Might be workable if Noah Snydergaard and Matz is included. Ian Krol can even be sent your way if you want.

Sounds like an interesting guy.

Trade talks with you are even less joyous than in OOTP 16.

Wonder if the Orioles would trade Kevin Gausman for Cespedes?

Supposedly the White Sox are interested in Cespedes. I really like him though, I would prefer he stay on the team over the long term.

My thoughts on trading Cespedes is get more pitching. While we are not stacked in the field, we are way under staffed in pitching.

He's a free agent after this season.

And he won't be a cheap signing.

I say Kinsler and Cespedas move in the morning, maybe tonight. Avilia and Davis go just before the deadline for a few flyer prospects.

I think Kinsler finishes the year here. He's still under contract for 3 more years. I do agree that Jones is the 2B of the future though.

You may well be right but it's a big salary and if DD is deconstructing, why keep it if there is a shot at bringing in more cheap talent usable next year or later? Build a base of near-term MLB ready youngsters, cut salary way down and make a splash in the FA market over the winter. The here and now is suddenly irrelevant.

I'm trying to enjoy these final hours in July all that I can. We are in for some tough viewing the rest of the summer.

Greene seems to be just as effective out of the pen as he is starting (if anyone is watching this).

I am just watching to see if anyone is taking out of the game prematurely.

If the Orioles don't come back from that 7-run deficit, Camden Yards will see plenty of pilgrims in the future, for the Vatican will declare it the site of a miracle.

Still no takers on three guys of your choice PLUS Juicy Mejia from the Mets bullpen for J.D.? No? Nobody?

Unless VMart is planning to take the mound, we'll be treated to Rondon in the ninth to try and win what has gone from a 7-0 lead to a nail biter. Other than starters, I think that may be the only body left out in the pen tonight. I think that they did call up some kid from Toledo so there's that when Rondon creates a problem. That or a VMart.

I have to re-adjust my meter for what I'm looking for in a Detroit game from here on out. It will make life more pleasant.

Wilson finished the game out. He closely resembled an MLB pitcher tonight.

Jones isn't ready. I'd be shocked if Kinsler was dealt.

He is quite a way from being ready but if you are going to deconstruct, go big!

I am excited about Norris. If he pans out, he's going to be fun like nothing since the summer of '76.

I interpret deconstruct differently. I see more of a retool of the existing roster, as opposed to a more comprehensive rebuild. The goal seems to be competing again sooner rather than later, I find it unlikely they would be able to find a middle infielder who can provide the production at Kinsler's level. Good middle infielders do not exactly grow on trees.

I'm sure your correct.

To me, it's time to really move on though. He's 33 and with the size of his paycheck, I'd rather let someone else learn how well he's going to age.
