There is an Olympic Break in 2015. Not sure why?

I did a search, but could not find any matches. So perhaps this has not happened to anyone else.

Anyway, I simmed a full season (standard NHL career). And as I looked through the transaction reports, it looks like players are being traded to teams in exchange for draft picks already owned by the team trading away the player. And in some cases, the draft pick is used in more then one trade.

For example, the Flyers and the Sabres made a trade involving Wayne Simmonds, and the news headline/subject say:

"Flyers Trade Simmonds to Sabres for Simmonds"

Then in the article/message it say:

"Wayne Simmonds, RW, 25 to the Sabres

with: 3rd Round Draft Pick (Philadelphia), 2014 NHL Entry Draft joining the Flyers."

On the same day the Flyers also traded Justin Williams (who they had picked up earlier in the season), to the Sabres in exchange for the very same 3rd round pick.

In total there were a handful of trades following this pattern. All involving a single player and a single draft pick.

So I started my first game since FHM was released and this happened..

Also noticed the clock freezes every time it updates this riveting commentary.

What's going on?

As another aside, why can't I see the bottom team's player photos on any setting other than full screen?

So continuing game in the new patch version 1.2 build 10. Click change view for the in game mode to explore--game crashed

Crash repeats.

Actually cannot do anything in this game...crashes each and every time I try to play the game (in game mode)...maybe not compatible with save game from previous version?

When asking the AI to do lines for you, he'll put forwards on the same line twice. I've got Sam Reinhart playing LW and C on his own PP unit. AI also likes to put him as second and fourth line center even though I'm obviously putting out a full roster.

Scratch this---It only took downloading the patch 3 times to get things to work. Think that is my computer issue...

1. Overtime regular season in junior--appearing as 5 on 5 play. Not 4x4. At least in the in game display. And guys that are not in the 4-4 lines are getting OT ice time.

2. Shooutouts--Score tied in the shootout after 3 rounds. 1st team shoots and scores to start 4th round---game is ending. Should give the second team their shot as well. Does not appear to be doing so in commentary or in the report.

Have found some bugs in the new build 1,2,10, in a MAC!

First of all, should be glad if the columns could show all numbers even for players that have hit 1000 games and say 1000 goals/assists/points!?

Next thing i did find was this:

Yes but as fast i click the "News" it´s not in the listing, and I have try anything to find it! Only possible to find from the GM home menu at "news".

Last one, is the never ending trade error problem!
I did click on Jacob Markström to make a offer for him and this is what I see:

The computer have made offers to me, but this was my first offer i did plan to do on my own...
So thats some of the errors that I think need to be fixed so far!

And of corse scouting and the stuff bug that some staff have higher rating then 9 on some attributes!

Or wait:

It´s maximum 9 if You edit staff!

Observations in the new patch:

It appears goalie ratings are decreasing across the board and for seemingly no reason. In 2015 Quick is the best goalie in the league with a rating of 8. Lundqvist at 7.5. Granted I haven't really kept track of this but Cory Schneider is down to a 6.5. In FA you can't find a goalie better than 6.5 and you've got Anderson and the like available.

Quality free agents (8+) seem to ask for long term with middling cap hits again. Starting at around 6 years and 3 million, and although they seem to go up to 4-5 million in the end with the bidding, they take relatively small sums compared to their peers pre-patch.

I don't know if this is a bug... or just the way it works, but I had people I drafted during the initial draft of my custom league, drafted away from my team in the amateur draft, they were still contracted to me, but I couldn't re-sign them, as their rights belonged to another team. You'd think they would belong to me, since I drafted them when the league was set-up.

Just setting up a new game with yesterdays beta patch.........Edit League - Game Rules, Length OT has 20 minutes listed.....I changed to 5 minutes and hit save changes and it reverts back to 20 min.

I was able to change the Playoffs Length OT to 20 minutes from 5 min........hmmm......

Also......in Free Agent Screen.....one of the attributes is misspelled when you hover over it.....SRA is Shooting Range.....misspelled as "Shhoting Range".

As pertaining to the screen shot above in post #363, since the original Beta, I have been unable to get the "icy background image" to work...just a black background......also, the primary color of the team name is always black, but I do get the secondary color - blue in the case of Montreal {i.e. - Montreal has a red background and trim around the logo box (primary color) and blue lettering (secondary color)}. What's wrong with me or my iMac that it doesn't work properly?

Please keep stuff like that coming. We have big trouble to test all possible settings by ourself and it helps us a lot to squeeze all the custom setting bugs out!

We will make sure to have as many reported bugs like this fixed in the final patch version, so thanks for your help!

How can Bourque be +2 when the score is 1-0

And a minor bug also during the ingame, after every period start you have to re-accelerate the game as it reverse back to "normal" time passing !

Edit : and found another ingame bug, when changing view a few time, that is what i got :

Im at the same year and my game is doing the same Lundqvist is rated 7,0 in my game (32 years old)!!!

So goalies that have a long zenith period (normally 24 to 36) get really bad early and the young goalies are not step up, they all look more and more as the goalies during the 80´s or something...

I was having problems in my historical game when I hit the 67 expansion. It wasn't ketting me put any players on teh protected list. Well, now after patch 1.2, there is no expansion protected list, or draft, and the amateur draft doesn't contain any players at all.

Likely you already know this one.

In Junior...at least in Western Hockey league teams are limited to 3 20 year old players DRESSED in a game, and after Oct 1 (normally) they are only allowed to have 3 on roster total.

Currently in the WHL--there appears to be no limit at all. Some AI teams have 10 20 year old players.

Just did a test sim with a new season. The protected list does work now, but I still have no players in the draft.
