You don't need to do all that Nomar. You can re-affiliate the league in the league setup under structure.

I don't think that is accurate Eddie, from everything I have seen, you can't import a league into an existing game and make it a feeder league from inside the game. Nomar seems to be dead on with having to do alot of the work through csv files. You can import in affiliated leagues but not feeder leagues.

Edit....
I just checked it in the game, and the drop down bar does not allow for feeder leagues. It only has College and High School which are not the same. as Feeder College and Feeder High School.

I'll have a look through some of the fields that I haven't put my finger on yet in my DLL because one of them might well be that flag - that course of action of adding a feeder to one major, deleting the major and reaffiliating the feeder isn't something I've done.

Not for feeder status you can't. Don't confuse the two (I know I used the words interchangeably above- my bad)- affiliated and "feeder" are two completely separate things. If you affiliate it- don't make the mistake of thinking it will funnel player's to the amateur draft. It just becomes a minor league type affiliate like any other minor leeaue team.

Yes, that is correct- I am not sure if Markus left this out by accident- but it makes importing a feeder league in the typical fashion impossible (unless you want to import it with it's affillitated fed league).

Yea it sucks, I had done a lot of editing to a NCAA template i had setup, correct names, DOB and that kind of stuff and now I have to either do it all again, or manually change all the player ID numbers on the export to be able to salvage what I have done.

Wow, this would suck. I see it now. I wish I'd known that before I started. Didn't catch the distinction between High School & College and Feeder High School & College. I'm glad I was just testing. APujols you were working on a roster set weren't you? That must've sucked.

Yeah, it does suck...I'll bet Markus could fix this pretty easily- but I am sure he's got bigger fish to fry.

In any case- there is at least a resonable workaround thanks to redsoxford- but for those who spend hours thinking it will work only to find out differently...Not fun.

Yea it would have been a big time issue had I had the entire league done, or worse yet started on ratings. But as it sits, i lost 7 conferences work of personal data. I've already redone 3 of them at this point.

redsoxford, let me know if you think you can put it together. I think I'll probably just release a release tonight sans college feeder if it's going to be impossible at this point.

Cubby, the release without feeders is great, I,, for one won't be using them anyway. Fantastic work to all that helped with this set.

I have kind of been holding off until all the little "bugs" are ironed out. Will the release tonight be suitable to begin a franchise? I am not real concerned about feeders and all that - just MLB and minors correct, coaches correct, financials correct and dates right. Thanks in advance!

Cubby, the quickest way to attach an unaffiliated feeder league to act as a feeder league to an existing Major League is as follows

1 - Affiliate the feeder league to the Major League
2 - Add a College or High School Feeder League to the Major League
3 - Set the Draft Source to Feeder + Additional Players (as this option will now be available)
4 - Delete the Feeder League you just created.
5 - The original feeder league should now feed into the draft pool.

I've just tried this out and the draft pool consisted of players who had a college team listed as their current team.

Are the players from the original feeder league? or just players from the deleted league tossed into the FA pool? I'm not trying to say you are wrong, but those players from the deleted league will still be lingering around
