I hope everyone isnt writing off the Iran v Mexico game as a borefest. This could be a very exciting match.

I think that was obvious, as we were talking about talking footballs during the second half.

Btw, on the Robben goal the last S&M defender pulled at Robben's shirt as he went passed him, so he would have been sent off had he kept a hold of him - and obviously the Dutch wouldn't have scored then. (although they might have at some other point, so just ignore what I said )

In my part of Los Angeles we have large Iranian and Mexican immigrant communities. Many Persians own small businesses and hire Mexican workers. There has been a lot of trash talking about this match. I hope Iran plays a good game and can keep it close.

they sell moosehead everywhere in Canada last I heard. It's quite popular for a non-big-brewery brand.

Luckily where I live, I never have that problem - the games are always during the daylight hours.

The Dutch played damn well, but we needed to score more than one goal, and create better shots around the box. Arjen Robben was absolutely brilliant, but he needed to lay the ball off for better shots from time to time.

As it should be. Does anyone know if they will be holding the next WC earlier? It will be winter in South Africa.

Yep I'll agree withthat analysis. I think they didn't shut down the Serb_Mont attack when they should have, there was a very real danger in the middle third of the second half of the game being tied 1-1. They need to work on that in the next game or two.
