Here's Charlie Lau off eBay from Kyle's Sportcards. It says 1968, and that appears to be the 1968 home uniform. He was released in November, 1967, so maybe he was non-roster (or a coach) in spring 1968?

According the Sporting News edition of February 24, 1968, Lau (soon to be taking the helm at the Braves' AA team in Shreveport) was in the team's camp along with their other minor league managers as part of the club's 'team of instructors' - makes sense they outfitted him with an Atlanta uni.

Lau, Jim Fanning, and Bob Uecker were all hired to be coaches for the Braves in '68 under new manager Lum Harris. Before spring training started Fanning left to run the new Expos, then Uecker got into a bar scuffle and was demoted to the speakers bureau, and Lau became a hitting instructor - the beginning of his legendary career in that role

I found an image of John Bass awhile back, but here he is along with the rest of the 1871 Cleveland team (and William Johnson, another rarity). It was up for auction on Leland's back in October.

Here is Flater pictured with the 1909 Philadelphia A's during Spring Training. The team photo was sold by Christie's Auctions several years ago without identifications, but the image was printed in the 3/13/1909 edition of the New Orleans Times-Democrat.

Waite Hoyt 1918 - NY Giants uniform

Waite Hoyt was signed by the Giants in 1915 when he was 15 years old. He appeared in only one game for the Giants, a relief appearance on July 24th, 1918, before joining the Red Sox pitching staff in 1919, and he then went to the Yankees in 1921. He was a Giant again in 1932. The images below are from 1915, when he signed his first contract with the Giants.

Seven-game 1931 Pirates outfielder and minor league slugger who retired young after multiple broken legs (yikes).

From the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram August 12, 1931 and very light. Original offered for anybody who wants to try to clean it up as there really isn't anything for the AI sites to work with; bad but amazingly better than the handful of side views and team picture details we previously had.

That is far better than anything I've seen. Like you said, there isn't much to work with here; this is the best I could do with a few quick passes. I'm not sure if it's enough of a difference for AI to work with.
