files transferred excellent from 18...new live game is excellent...getting used to the color scheme and after about an hour I am getting used to it and feeling comfortable....noticed there is a box to click for 2 way players...haven't seen any other new/changed goodies yet. It will be a while before I can tell anything about finances, especially long term. Also real life photos of players transferred with no problem at all.

So Far.....Excellent

The game is absolutely magnificent. As someone who mainly plays OOTP as manager-only, this game is just about perfect. 3-D is so much better this year, and I love the disappearing widgets when it's time to go.

A couple of questions:
1. Is there a way to set the time delay you want from the point you press a key (say "1") and the widgets disappear until the ball is thrown? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the ball is almost on the way as soon as the widgets leave the screen. I have a little bit (not awful) of a hard time catching up to the play until it is already well underway. Would love to have like a 3 second delay or be able to set that ourselves.

2. Fenway is super, super bright compared to other stadiums on my screen. If there is a way to dull it just a little, it would be more realistic.

3. Finally, is there a way to get the pitch location/log box to provide the last batter after an inning ends? In other words, when the 3rd out is made, that widget is blank for the next batter leading off the next half-inning, so you can't actually see what happened on the 3rd out as far as sequence. NOTE - This is one-pitch mode, so I guess you could solve the problem by going p-x-p, but my guess is 95% of people play one-pitch.

Not complaining at all, just a few thoughts. Thanks for a great game!!!

Edit to say, all stadiums seem a little too bright during the day (particularly noticed Fenway and Wrigley, but have only tested maybe 12-15).

Sorry, I should have posted that info. At the initial OOTP start page, before you open your specific game, at the bottom of the screen click on "Settings". Then click on 3D and Facegen. Then you will see a number of options, among them player size (I don't have it in front of me right now, but it is called something like that). The default is set at 100%. Just click on the drop down arrow and raise it to your preferred percentage, then "OK" at the bottom of that screen, and you will see that the players get larger and more visible. You may have to shut down OOTP and open it back up for the changes to take effect.

I am amazed by the improvements to the 3D animations and the visual overhaul in general. If you did this in one year, I can't wait to see what the game looks like in a couple of years. It's incredible the game you've made without a huge development team.

loving this game more every time I fire it up & haven't even played a game yet. tonight is the night!

One small nitpick: There are usually 3-5 players in the Rule 5 pool that don't meet the requirements OR fall victim to the "they signed by the AI yesterday, and go to the lowest miLB level (DSL) and haven't been assigned to the 40 man roster yet but realistically should/would be.

Worth taking a look.

I have played every single OOTP since V2. Unfortunately recently I lost my job and money is really tight. I play all my games in manage mode. Is the 3D alone worth the upgrade?

Yes.

We spent many months on it, and it's really worth it, just read some of the comments here...

I havent bought OOTP since 15, and I cant believe how far they have come with this game. Its always been the best simulation sports experience out there, as far as being a GM, or a manager of a team, but now with the new graphics, and actually watching the game play out of the field, is amazing.
Ive always been more of a MLBTS fan, but there lack of focus on the franchise mode over the past couple yrs, has me frustrated, as they seem more concerned about the casual fans, and their gimic fantasy mode of diamond dynasty, that I told myself, if they havent made major improvements to franchise mode, I was done with it, and going with OOTP19.
I definitely made the right decision, I played a game of my 75 Reds, against the 75 Dodgers, in a exhibition game, and won 5-1, and hit a 2 run HR in bottom of the 1st with my all time favorite player Johnny Bench.
I know there is some bugs, that got to be fixed, with the game, but thats to be expected unfortunately, but I know OOTP devs, thru the yrs, have always been top notch in fixing issues.
Thanks to all who worked on this game. Definitely the most addictive sports game ever made.
Ive never been a online player, as Im old, and I guess stuck in my ways, but I may change my thinking, depending on how this online league stuff works. Im not very PC savy, so I have no idea how to go about it, or even getting in a league. But if its you playing with 29 other people, and making trades, and full seasons, I could see that being kind of fun. Although I would have to be only the Reds,lol.
Anyway again, thanks to all who worked on this game.

Unfortunately you do have to download the entire thing to update. You can just install it over the previous copy.

I imported my historical replay 1871 (currently up to the beginning of 1882)...new look is spectacular. Everything just pops off the screen. Absolutely love it!!!!

Wow, lots of UI changes this year. Scouting Report is a lot better and love the Injury History page. Love it so far.

I imported my league i've been playing since v4 that's in 2243. It was the easiest import yet, took about 2 hrs.

Only played a couple games, have to get used to the new ingame interface lol. I never play with the PBP at top so will take some getting used to (or can you move that to bottom?)

finally made it to opening day & I'm just as excited for it as I am the real thing.

I play all games, only recently started simming spring training, & have to say the Live Scores screen is gorgeous. a lot of talk about people now wanting to play out games, I'm thinking opposite (I could never just sim). it's possible that not much has changed & I hadn't noticed before, but that screen really pops on classic & easy to keep track of all the action.
