After downloading the last patch I get this error "Invalid database version". I can't load any of my saved games. I haven't been able to play the game for a week. Please help!

I guess you'll have to begin a new game unless you have a backup of the old one. Once the database has been overwritten by a patch there's no way back.

Started my Mac, started FHM - and it is not licensed anymore. Played it last evening without problems. The license key is still in but I have to (re-)activate and it always tells me, "Activation Error - The game could not be activated, please try again in a few minutes.".

And yes, I have a working internet connection, as you can see ;-)

Version 1.0.3 Using a Mac

Playing a historical sim (started in 69-70) - Cannot sim past July 2, 1978. It appears that the sim cannot handle the dispersal draft for the former Cleveland Barons when they merged with Minnesota. (The rules for it were explained here - Historical Hockey Stats & Trivia: 1978 NHL Dispersal Draft ) - I think there was confusion because each team had to a protection list (similar to an expansion draft) -even though a team is actually being dispersed.

I've gotten to the 67 expansion, but in the expension draft I can only protect 1 player.

I was playing a game with the Colorado Avalanche and after completing the first season that game crashes in the transition from June 30 to July 1. This happens even when I reload my file.

Throughout the beta test I've never actually gotten past a single season.


I'm playing on Windows 8, had all leagues active.

Small one...and likely already mentioned somewhere.

When you change goalies in a game...the goalie that comes into the game does not have his statistic line mentioned in the game summary ---when you look at it after the game, just the goalie who started, but his stats stop when leaves. Nothing for the guy who replaced him.

I'm having the same problem. Using Montreal though. Tried reloading it twice. Crashes every time.

Me too. But I´m playin Finnish Hockey League with KalPa, Kuopio.

It says "process next season" or something like that and then it crashes. I´m using windows 7.

I made the mistake of purchasing Inside the Park Baseball which had almost zero support and they basically took our money and ran. I was a loyal OOTP guy for years purchasing several versions up until a few years back when I lost interest in baseball. I really hoped this would be more OOTP and less ITP, but I don't know anymore. I can't sim past one season without the game crashing on me. They game is littered with oddities and bugs.

I haven't given up, but I'm seriously disappointed that the state of the game is what they would consider "release version".

I bought the Beta the same day it was released. I'm having some major problems with this game, it crashes all of a sudden every time i try to play it. I have tried it all, clean install, etc. Nothing seems to work. The Beta version worked better than the last 1.03 release.

I'm very very disappointed, i hope to god the developers get this **** together. At the moment, it's unplayable.

For your information, i have tried it on different computers, with both fresh installs.

Nothing works. Win7 and Win8.

Back to playing Eastside Hockey Manager and NHL14.

Did you check team rosters? If one team doesn't have a full roster ,the game will crash. It could be something very simple that is making it xrash but it could be something completely different.

Hmmm, well the team i'm managing have a full rooster.

Do i really need to check all the other teams? Then the game itself wouldn't be worth playing even if i got paid.

Like i said, i don't know what's causing the crashes. I have a state of the art desktop computer with everything updated and working. There is some serious bugs in this game i believe, i have played all kinds of manager games since Championship Manager 99. And i have never ever come across something awful like this.

I'm not asking for a refund, just want the game to work properly.

This game has quite some potential, but at the moment it's not worth 2 cent. I hope they can fix all the problems with the engine.

Hmmm, maybe i know what's caused the last crash. I think i offered some contract extensions to some players in my team, and when i did sim forward it crashed.

Talk about good agent... =)

Yeah-you gotta check every team. At the time,I had a very big league so it took about 15 minutes but smaller leagues shouldn't take as long.

It does for your own team ....

But there's been a few crashes at specific dates people have been able to get past because a team somewhere didn't have enough players/goalies etc ... commish mode, edit a player, give them a contract, assign current team blah blah

My game keeps crashing on Oct 20, 2013. Seems to be because Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, a team which I do not control, does not have two keepers dressed. I checked their roster and they have to goalies (Zatkoff and Vokoun), but only Zatkoff is dressed!

I always had teams with not enough players. Can't recall not enough players dressed.

This latest version crashes every time for me. Had a game going and downloaded the latest. i choose to continue the game and it opens to te front page and crashes if I try to do anything?
