Usually the plan is to release the first raw set as the start of FA, and then release updates as I go from there with updated moves. A little too time-consuming to keep two sets, but I figure that keeps both sides at least somewhat happy.

Should still be looking at a first release in very late December or early January. Should be able to knock out the majority of the work over this break, got a nice 10 days off work coming up.

Also have put together a photopack with updated photos for new signees to be released with the set.

Newbie here!

I've downloaded these rosters, but how do I get them into my game? I've looked all over for a tutorial, but I can't seem to find one. Can anyone either give me or link for me step-by-step advice so that I can use these rosters for my season?

First off, the 2011 rosters (with the 2010-2011 free agency pool) have not been released yet.

The rosters on the front page are Cubbie's 2010 roster for OOTPX, not for OOTP11. If you still want to play these, extract the folder, and go into OOTP11 and hit Import OOTPX game, find where you extracted the roster and click on the World.dat file in the game, and hit ok.

However, i suggest using the 2010 new major league game that comes with the game, as it has more minor leaguers.

Sounds good, thanks a ton! Are there any mods that I can download with the rosters that come with the game so that I can get authentic pics and logos? And if so, how would I go about loading those into my game?

What is the most current roster set available? Is the March 31 the most current? I know Cubbie is working hard on the new one, just trying to feel our our alternatives here for getting a league started.

Oh, I'm totally cool waiting... Cubby said the minors wouldn't be done though... and we want to get started by like the 2nd week of Jan and don't want to rush Cubby AT ALL... so just checking out alternatives... that's all!

I haven't posted in this thread since the OOTP11 release basically.

With that being said, I am checking this thread daily - waiting for a new roster set, and so I can set up my pitching staff of: Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, Hamels, some guy lol.

Hopefully the Phillies are rated better this time around (last set, none of the hitters did squat for me, so I had to boost them a little)

Cant wait!

:edit: just checked, 7 months ago.. seems like it was longer than that.

I apologize if these are silly questions, but I must ask. First, I must mention that I take all major league players and then execute a draft of sorts. Given that, would you recommend that I use the early 2011 roster set that will be coming out soon or are player ratings etc... likely to change much prior to the release? Also what is the difference between Cubby's 2011 roster set and the one that likely comes pre-loaded with the next OOTP release in the spring? Thanks in advance.

Ok so as far as how much will change between the rosters well it will be a lot in terms of ratings. If you use the rosters he releases first then all the minor league ratings will not be updated. So its a matter of how you like the minors.

The difference between cubbys rosters and the in game ones is not much. I find cubbys to be more correct in terms of roster moves but ootp usually will update theres with a patch. The ratings will be the biggest difference. Basically you just have to see which one has the ratings/results you like.
