jg2977, please don't advance any further for this dynasty at least until we both make quite sure that players' actual service time doesn't disappear for players once they switch leagues here easily enough, somehow, if nothing else as well. Thank you. CD out.

We also need to plan where Hugh is going to play, if he starts in the MLB, and check on the players who were at least proposed for, if not actually started in, 1904 career-wise. Thank you. CD out.

Plus, I want to see what the current statuses for all my first-generation players are, as of this point in time, at least, too. Just so you know this well enough, jg2977. Thank you. CD out.

You must not have seen at least the last post or two in my main thread, before you moved ahead here, though, I strongly suspect. Is that so, jg2977? Just wondering and all here, you see. CD out.

I've done it before, but let me find that information for you, just so you know, please. Thank you. You can show me what's happened to my remaining first-generation players since the 1904 awards were announced, and how things have gone for the relevant still-active first-generation and second-generation players in your dynasty, as well, when you can.
I hope Duncan James Freeman has now been seeing a good deal of activity for himself with the Cardinals, of course, and that Otis Garber is doing the same for Houston, and I'll need to see reports related to the Cardinals so that Elijah Moses Freeman's profile can hopefully be better tailored here for 1906. As far as Hugh's future debut team, I'll have to see which teams might most need help after the 1905 season that he could likely provide easily enough, before I make his profile up as well. The Morses might start out in the IPA, or at least some might, at various times. While those that might end up in MLB could perhaps go to AL teams, I think, instead. But will need to think about that here, probably, first. CD out.

Otis Garber isn't playing all that much. His ratings aren't high enough yet in order to be a starter. If you want me to raise his ratings so that he is a starting player, let me know.

DJ Freeman is playing, but he's been in only 48 games and is batting only .213. If you want him to be a more impactful player, you'll have to hope is ratings progresses with experience, or you'll have to increase them manually.

Please take a look at these screenshots from OOTP 22, and see if at least one or two of them might help you out here, jg2977. You may be able to access similar screens either through game settings or through each league's settings, of course, at times, of course, or even through Association Setup & Options, for that matter. However, I'll do so through Game Settings here, from the appropriate part of the top bar:
A note here: I am going to keep the FBS leagues using the reserve-clause rule until closer to 1901, once I flip them back on here. But do note that I'm just disengaging it for a few moments here, at least, so you can hopefully better see just what I'm talking about here, in terms of free agency and/or trading, if nothing else as well, seeing as you have allowed free agency periods to happen and all in your dynasty. Where it says, "Reset Service Time for FAs signed from other Leagues," uncheck that box. That should hopefully allow players to retain the same amount of service time that they had prior to switching from one league to another. I suppose the same thing could be true for those traded between your dynasty's leagues, in turn, in like manner, if you allow trading between leagues, which I believe you do. After 1905's seasonal awards have all been announced sufficiently well here, you can then put the active roster's player age limit at 45 in both leagues, if you like. That would mean that anyone who's ultimately reached the age of 46 and above following the end of an entire season will have aged out of the relevant league or leagues. As long as they are not past their 46th birthday at the start of a season, they'd be young enough to play in a league with an upper age limit of 45 years of age. They could play past 46, but only if they'd started playing that season before getting that old in their careers. This age limit would end Jeddy Holmes's career, at least, if not others as well, it seems to me, after 1905. But we don't want the players to play too long when they've already piled up so many huge statistics here, do we? I don't think we do, actually, jg2977. Let me know if these screenshots help you out here. Thank you. CD out.

I see now where to uncheck the box to reset service time. Since I’ve already started 1905, I’ll make sure to uncheck it before 1906.
I’m still not seeing where to set the age limit to 45 (never mind, I found it) Last edited by jg2977; 12-11-2022 at 04:29 PM. |

If we both mutually retire Tanner, Jethro, and Jedediah at the exact same time, they'll most likely all go in the relevant Hall together. So let's do that, if we can, right after 1905's awards, if they're not automatically retired by then. That should then allow them all to go into it together circa the 1911 season, I think. We already saw Henry Freeman go in with Zebulon Morse and K.J. Walton together in the same class several seasons ago, if memory serves me correctly enough here, jg2977. That would just leave Barrett and Simon for my first-generation players in your dynasty here, in turn, to perhaps go in together with each other. CD out.

Hugh Clairborne is going to be a two-way player in place of his father who was originally proposed as such here, so we will need to find a good NL team for him that will need help both on the mound and in the field, I think. Dodgers might be a possibility for him here, in 1906, but we'll both just have to wait and see, of course.
Of course, Elijah Freeman's no doubt destined for the Cardinals in 1906, but I'll still have to see where the other Freemans are listed as currently playing for them after the 1905 season, at least in terms of its regular season, if not also the playoffs, I think. So please try to give me at least a moderate level of information about the Cardinals organization by the time the 1905 awards are announced here for MLB. Thank you. CD out.
