Does anyone have any interest in taking on a 16 team fictional league based in the UK?

Denver KC baseball team

Came across this 1913 photo of a team from Denver... It is some sort of a Knights of Columbus team, maybe from a city league... Thought it was a cool looking uniform so I made a couple of versions of it...

Davenport Blue Sox

Not really sure if the 1916 set is correct or not... The photo shows a Blue Sox team from around 1916 just not sure if it is Davenport... Though it appears to have a "D" on the sleeve and one of the players in the photo is known to have played for teams in the Iowa area... So maybe it is indeed the Davenport team...

Still just messing around with logos, trying to understand Illustrator. If I was actually using this in my game I would scale down the tomato along with mess with the text effects a bit more, but those are both easy fixes so I'm moving onto another project.

I would still love to hear some criticism on this logo, even if it's just the things I said above.

The background, IMO, should be lighter ... good work, though ...

CanofCorn73's Negro League Universe

These next few are from a recent request from CanofCorn73 for some of the long lost, somewhat unknown teams... Note that he found the photos that these are based on...

PIERCE STREET GIANTS

This set is the way I see it in the photo...

This set is using a block lettering instead...

THE CAB CALLOWAY BAND's TEAM

The graphics used on the logo came from one of Cab's album covers...

I really like the logo ... It is crisp, simple and clean... I would agree with Jabez that the background color should be lighter color or plain white... For lettering in the logo and on jerseys, you might want to try using all caps in most fonts, except for the script fonts... That way the emphasis will be on the team name and it will show up better... Maybe downsize the tomato slightly and enlarge your font sizes accordingly... When making logos I find that a 300 x 300 canvas size works well... Overall, very nice work...

All awesome advice. The only thing I can say is that I do all of my work in vector so everything I do is infinitely scaleable. That's why I much prefer working with Illustrator to Photoshop.

As usual, I would absolutely love feedback -especially negative feedback- on this logo. The Las Vegas Black Sox are a franchise I use in a ton of my leagues, so here they are:

and a bigger version which the transfer to the internet has eaten the stroke border:

Thumbs up

Hey, Poweshow ... You've certainly got some serious talent here ... hope you don't mind my input ... that is very sharp, however, I would like to see the dark grey in a lighter shade ... my old eyes will be able to see the clarity of the logo in better light during my Game ... again, very sharp ...
