Your right, they don't count at all. I ran the all-star match on my computer and posted the result so it doesn't affect SAL's UTBA database in any way, shape, or form. So no worries about your fighters going post-prime quicker because of that match.

I'll close the ballots for the EOY Awards voting at 4 pm CST Monday, 01/29/07.
All votes are in for the Gold Conference. Thank you to all the Gold owners. We still have two owners left to vote in the Silver (Tosti, Icetea) |

UTBA Awards voting
There has been some question on how the voting results should be diplayed for the UTBA's end of the year awards and the All-Star voting.
I have posted a poll for this subject to be voted on. Here's the link: UTBA EOY Awards and All-Star Voting |

Good luck but I won't get my hopes to high as history has shown the rookie teams tend to get clubbed not do the clubbing. Even with the number of solid pre-prime fighters available to be picked up in the draft pool it's going to be tough for y'all as the original teams are now loaded with Prime fighters. Well, welcome to the league I hope you enjoy it.

While we wait for the draft
Draft Reminder..... The draft will be held on February 3, 2007. It will start at 3 PM CST sharp. 1) The salary cap has been lifted. The 105 point cap rule will go back in effect one week after the expansion teams have their rosters made official. 2) Teams will not be allowed to cut any fighter from their roster until the draft is over. This will help me keep things straight.......maybe. All roster cuts have to be sent to me by PM. No exceptions. 3) Draft times are posted for each teams turn in the draft. If a team misses their turn or does not send any draft choices to me by PM, their draft pick will be forfeited. There will be no make-ups. If you miss your turn, you miss your turn. The draft order can be found on page one of the UTBA Draft thread. 4) Due to the expansion teams joining, the waiver wire will not open until their rosters are made official. This will give them a chance to select fighters for their initial roster from the left over stock in the draft pool. |

Solid trade by Tomato City, Jeff Frenech has been the top dog in the division and McGuigan has shown himself to be a Frenech killer. He adds a couple good Prime fighters and opens up room for to make another move, that is a hell of a trade.

As for Gilberto Gonzalez, I liked having his "10" rated power, but his one drawback has been hitting the canvas 70+ times so far in his career. I'm hoping Takada will at least stay on his feet. Good luck to the MexiVilles in Season 4. |

Takada has been more successful then Gilberto lately and he should get knocked out alot a less but then again I think the Gold FLYs are tougher then the Silver's.

New Rule for the UTBA
I want to first make this statement and be very clear about it.
We do not have any problems or complaints about any owner in the league. I've sent every team owner a PM concerning the new rule and I have also placed it in the official UTBA rules. New rule for the UTBA "Removal Rule" If the Commissioner receives 3 or more complaints by PM about an owner, the owner in question will be brought up for a league wide vote for removal from the league. All PM complaints will be posted as evidence as to why we are voting on the removal of a team owner. The UTBA expects all owners to treat each other decently and to be gracious in assuming disagreements are nothing more than misunderstandings. Only report to the Commissioner after you have tried to resolve the matter on your own. |

Be a part of UTBA history
I want to offer some lucky member of the UTBA a chance to be a permanent part of league history....
Upon signing with his next team, Jhonny Gonzalez will own the record as most travelled fighter in UTBA history. I would like to give one of you the opportunity to be the owner whose name is inked right next to his. And while the honor is great, the cost is oh so minimal. In fact, I'll take damn near anything for him. So speak now, as he'll go to the first one of you who raises his hand... |

I'll take him Matt. Provided you toss in your 3rd round pick.
I might keep the pick.

I Will Bite on the Jhonny Gonzalez Offer ...
The expansion Hoosier Playboys are happy to be part of the UTBA and UTBA history so we would offer the Bonner Springs Bald Beavers a second round draft pick in exchange for the services of Mr. Gonzalez and a third round pick. (That's a better deal than what Mr. Conn offered, I think.)
(Hopefully this isn't jumping the gun or violating the league rules in any way -- if it is, I apologize.) Last edited by JCWeb; 01-28-2007 at 06:24 PM. |

As the "Hoosier Playboys," is my assumption of your Indiana base correct? If so, whereabouts (I'm originally from Fort Wayne myself). |
