Sox-Marlins would be the second all-wildcard world series in a row, and for the 3rd year running, the WS winners wouldn't have won their division.

I like the Wildcard, but it makes you think...

Also, who was the small camp chap who was shouting 'South Florida we're coming home'?

Not the fans either. I actually hope that the city of Chicago has enough restraint to leave the poor guy alone.

Well, since camp I've always believed that next year would be the year. Hopefully they can plug a few holes...and please, please Sammy, opt out. Please.

Dear Cubs Fan,

I feel your pain, after going through the 90s, with hardly a win everyonce in awhile; I can now proudly say that my team is doing well. I have to congradulate you in getting as far as you did. Making it to the NLCS is very, very impressive. After going through what happened all year, it is a miracle that you got this far. Even though you haven't won a World Series since 1908, there is probably no other baseball team with a following that the Cubs bring in every year.

You cannot blame yourself, you cannot blame the guy, you cannot blame Alex Gonzalez. Better luck next year and hope to see you in October.

Sincerly,
A Twins Fan

Ouch. Seeing Baker gives me nightmares of last year's game 6 in the World Series. Very eerie.

Arizona in 2001 won the west, since the wildcard was started there have only been 2 wildcards that won the World Series (Florida in 97' & Anaheim last year).

Sorry Cub fans, my heart goes out to you's tonight

Now I just hope no one does anything stupid to that poor fan, who DID NOT cost the Cubs the series. When you blow a 3-1 lead, no "one" out can be blamed. Dusty Baker should be ashamed of himself for blaming that fan after game 6.

$50 says the Cubs keep Prior and Woods for 5-6 years and never give them an offense to back them up.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Dusty Baker blamed the fan for that loss?

If so, I've lost all respect for him.

I agree with Big Willis if that is the case. Totally classless move if Baker said that, in my opinion...

thankfully tonight he didn't say anything regarding the fan, but in his post game press conference after game 6, he made several comments about how the fan, at least in part, cost them the game.

As a Dolphins fan, I can sympathize with the Cubs. You're cursed by a goat, we're cursed by Flipper.
