The Seahawks lost I think it was 19 EPA on special teams, the most in the century… and still won the game.

I say it should be the rest of the season, postseason included. It was totally dirty, and the player has history. I predict, however, that it will be significantly less than that.
The rest of the year, as a suspension. He would lose about $1.5 million in salary.

He has had multiple personal fouls this year. He's a dirty player. He's not getting away from that, going forward.

3-game suspension for Azeez al-Shaair.

Even worse, what were those uniforms the Broncos wore last night? They looked like Patriots unis, and not the "Pat the Patriot" classics, but Belicheater-era Pats unis.

Ewwwwww.

They do have a system in place. It's asking fans that are interested in helping out to, help out and make a buck at the same time.

It seems to work or they wouldn't do it. I'd wager almost all of those that participate are fans and enjoy the experience. They talk football and the team while moving snow, and of course tell their story at the local bar about how they helped out the team. It really is a win/win for the team and the fans.

I didn't like Demarco Ryan's comments after the Jags game. I don't get this "need" to defend obviously wrong conduct by your guy/team/party/race/whatever by blaming the victims. You're responsible for your own actions.

Yeah, honestly there are way worse things out there in pro sports than this. The entire business of MLB asking local families to house kids in A ball, for example...

3-game suspension. Especially weak when considering that this dirty player will appeal - which usually results in a reduction in the suspension. The NFL at its worst... I agree he's not going to get away from being a dirty player. But he is, apparently, getting away with being a dirty player. That's at least two viciously dirty hits this year (on Williams & Lawrence), and the NFL is apparently condoning it but slapping him on the wrist despite repeat offenses.

Which of these explains it?

1. That's the max Goodell thinks he can punish without drawing the ire of the players union.
2. Al-Shaair's very strong and controversial off-field positions and pronouncements make him ripe to play the victim card if a longer suspension were given, and the NFL does not want to touch that hot-button issue.
3. Goodell is a clown.

While #3 may be true, I don't think that explains it. It doesn't make sense to me that Goodell would spearhead all of the recent and semi-recent rule changes for the good of player safety - but that have changed the game significantly - and then essentially overlook an actual deliberate & dangerous offense committed by a repeat dirty player.

You're playing Monday QB on this one. Raiders effed up their execution, not their decision making.
But it really wasn't Monday morning quarterback. I thought it was a dumb idea when they lined up. Don't get me wrong, I'd be ok if they had 20-25 seconds left. You can go anywhere on the field. But with 15 seconds left you have to hit a short sideline pass. I wasn't even thinking about a bad snap. I was worried the QB would do something stupid. For what, 3-5 yards?

He's constantly looking to hurt someone. He punched someone in the face on the sideline several weeks ago. He hit Tony Pollard late out of bounds when they played. How late? Pollard was on the green part of the out of bounds. He refused to leave the field after being ejected, and got into another fight. He should have been suspended a lot longer. I think he got 3 weeks. Back in 1986 Charles Martin got 2 weeks for the hit on McMahon. Not much has changed.

I’ve seen cheaper shots. One put Stingly in a wheelchair.

I have no problem with the suspension, the guy is a repeat offender and enough is enough... but I also do agree that QBs are taking advantage of this rule by "sliding late" and "tiptoeing along the sideline"... I don't want to see anyone get hurt but until this is fixed it shouldn't surprise no one that a QB gets lit up every so often.

Believe it was Kenny Picket that faked a slide and ran down the field -- thought the NFL changed the rule then ...... to an appearance ???

But their is one QB (PM) that is getting away from "purpose" of the rule by running to the sideline and then tiptoeing down unless hit , then wanting the penalty ......

That wasn't a cheap shot. The ball came his way, and Tatum did what he normally does, hit with reckless abandon. No flag was thrown because no foul happened. It was unfortunate what happened to Stingly.

Any fake slide by a QB needs to be penalized as unsportsman like conduct.

Yup. You can't have it both ways as a QB.

So, between the Traitors and the Giants, who's on the clock right now? They don't play head-to-head…is conference record still the 2nd tie-break?

I think if they are in different conferences they use SOS. The one w/the easiest gets 1st pick.
