Essegian, Harmon, Niarhos, Easton, Jordan. I'll color those guys plus Wilbur, Baumholz, Pellagrini. Lowrey, Sadowski and Young.

The guys who I don't have pix for as Phillies are:
Jimmy Bloodworth,
Leo Cristante,
Floyd Baker,
Jim Westlake,
Lynn Lovenguth,
Freddy Rodriguez,
Darrell Johnson,
Sammy White,
Jim Lemon,

Someone will have to supply quality B&W's of these

This may be the weirdest process I've done, but pictures of Zardon, the Cuban outfielder who spent one season with the Washington Senators, don't grow on trees. I always "show my work"; sorry this one is rather involved.

There is one Latin American "card" of Zardon picturing him with the Senators (sort of Panini like...with the cap logo either unreadable or blacked out), but that's more like a poorly screened newspaper photo. Can't do a thing with it. A couple of other images, including the small but notorious one with the funny shaped baseball cap. Also worthless for my purposes. Then there's the nice fairly sharp B&W that accompanied his obit, which SPORTSMEM817 posted to the forum. But I look at that uniform and say, what the heck am I supposed to do with that?

So I ended up with what I presume is a family portrait image. Not a baseball picture, but good sized, at least. When putting a head on an alternate body (which I generally try to avoid), I always transplant the neck as well. But Jose's got a dress shirt on, depriving me of good neck.

Additional issues. When mixing and matching parts for a transformation, you really want them to be of similar size and focus. The body, here (from pinterest and labeled Dutch Leonard, which I'm not believing), had the size right, faced the wrong direction (so I flip Jose), but the focus is all wrong. Should have blurred it up a bit, but didn't. But I did like the background, so that's cool. Ah, but the cap. I could not, for the life of me, find a properly oriented '45 era Senators cap of good size. Did my best to shrink Jose into the cap image I had that was properly oriented (a better option that going the other way). So now I've got three pieces that don't quite fit each other. Such is life when you're too impatient to search for very long.

Tried some new coloring techniques on portions of the background, which worked pretty well (mostly working only with color balance without colorizing on the "houses"). The final issue... I have a way of preserving the aspect ratio for the cards as the program I use for making cards doesn't have any way of doing that on its own, It's possible I put the cap too low, but Jose was looking a little round-faced in comparison to the other images of him, so I did "elongate" the image a tad to compensate (I pretty much never do that). It is what it is. So let's see how this whole mess worked out, shall we?
Extraordinario ! This is Art ! Many , Many Thanks , and congratulations . Caribeño

Jimmy Bloodworth

Jimmy Bloodworth (1917-2002. MLB: 1937-1951; except 1944-1945 military service; Phillies 1950-1951.)
Acquired by the Phillies three weeks after Opening Day from the Cincinnati Reds, Bloodworth soon
became a valuable utility infielder for the 1950 N.L. pennant-winning Whiz Kids.
He hit a decent .248 lifetime in 1,002 games. Jimmy was as an everyday player at second baseman
for five seasons (1940-1943 & 1949). Jim was a well-traveled player who reached the majors with the
Washington Senators. He also played for the Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, in that order,
and lastly for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Bloodworth was a Detroit Tiger in 1943 and 1946, but missed their 1945 World's Championship season while in the
military. His hometown - Apalachicola, Florida was the subject of a 1947 hit song performed by Bing Crosby.
Bloodworth was your typical average .250 type hitter who had a seven year stretch where he hit no better than
.261 and no worse than .241.

Ort, this is one of the B&W photos you requested.

Didn't keep track of where I obtained this photo. It may have been posted on this thread.

I've got some Washington Bloodworth's here. One option is for either me or FatJack or some other baseball picture heathen to convert one of these into a Phillies Jimmy Bloodworth, Of course he's a lot younger here than he was with the Phillies. I suppose we could work our magic to throw a couple of wrinkles and gray hairs into the mix, as well

This is the first picture I've seen of this guy, period. I'll hold off on coloring it for a little while in hopes of a bigger, clearer one coming along. If one doesn't, thanks for this one.

Here are a couple of options for you, courtesy of thecatspajamas99.

Because you mentioned that you had not seen any pictures of him, I've also included two Cardinals photos from a source I do not recall.

If someone is going to play with Photoshop, perhaps one of these 1949 Reds images would make better source material.

Scott - are you sure you want to do this? I have no problem making you the source of last resort for any player we need a picture for. If you don't have it, it doesn't exist

Just want to thank you again for the great work. Thanks to your recent work I now have Leo Burke as an Oriole and a Barry Shetrone other than his 60 Topps card. Hate to press my luck, but there are a couple other old Oriole farm hands I was wondering if anyone has in an Oriole uniform. Bo Belinski and Wayne Causey. Someone put up a really great B&W Dean Chance a couple months ago so hope is there....

I'm happy to help out where I can, I just don't have much (if any) free time of late. These were easy for me to dig out, so I was able to post them quickly. If there are images anyone is struggling to find, feel free to list them or PM me and I'll do what I can to share what I have. In most cases, though, it may take some time for me to fulfill requests.

...and while I'm at it, there *is* a Bloodworth/Phillies image but it's probably not usable for a custom card.

Here's a color Wayne Causey. If you can dig up the Dean Chance with the Orioles, that would be a nice one to do. Never knew Belinski was with the Orioles organization, If someone has one of him with the Orioles that's decent, that would be a great one to color, as well
