Well, they're not all coming in at the same time, for sure. Some wouldn't even enter until at least 1911, if not later, for that matter. At the moment, the last member of that generation might not even enter until sometime around 1920, give or take a few years either way, I believe, jg2977. That's as far as I can currently tell, anyway. There will be some spacing out of them, in certain cases, though, in any case.

GC and AG Freeman are now in the game. Next up at this point is Bradley Parverol, I believe, in 1903. Duncan Freeman and Otis Garber most likely would start in 1904. The others I currently have in mind for this generation are likely to start in the following years, if at all possible, after them:

Elijah Freeman and Enoch Morse: 1906
Abel Morse and Hugh Clairborne: 1907
Noah Morse: 1912
Timothy Morse and Moses Morse (Cousins): 1913
Joel Morse: 1918
Amos Morse: 1919
Talbot Tulach: 1920

I do not yet know if I'll suggest other potential rivals for those on the Freemans' side of things here. But if I don't, you're definitely more than welcome to create potential rivals for them that you think might perhaps work well for me to use in my own dynasties in the exact same manner as I have done for you to perhaps use in yours, you know. Players with interesting names, for instance, that seem appropriate enough and all, of course.

As for T.W. Follis, I haven't yet created a potential rival for him yet, but if I don't, you're more than welcome to suggest at least one potential for him to compete against here or elsewhere, in any case. Just so you're quite aware of that sort of thing here and now, jg2977. CD out.

I don't necessarily mind it a great deal, mind you, but I do find it somewhat curious here, just the same, you see. Generally speaking, the starting salaries for many players in the MLB shouldn't be that far off from each other now, right?

You might want to consider instituting an age limit in the IPA, at least, at some point. Then create a senior league not associated with any of your main leagues in your dynasty for players in those leagues to play in later, if they don't actually become coaches and other personnel instead, of course. You could set it up so that they feed into the proposed senior league, especially if they might be Hall of Famers in certain other leagues for your dynasty. Just so you know. CD out.

The financials are just there, as is, and I don't pay attention to them at all, so I wouldn't know the answer to your question. The AI does what it does.

Just remember that I mostly play the game to see which teams win the most, and I enjoy watching the playoff games in 3D. I don't get too invested the players' storylines.

EC and I have recommended many times that if you want to get into your players' storylines, then you need to play your own league. I think you have OOTP 22 currently, which is perfectly adequate for that. Just create a small league of only 16-20 teams at most and you will get heavily invested in it. Use graphics that are already available and that will make it very easy to set up. I may try that for myself, maybe I'll create another dynasty that has only 12 teams. That way I can follow every team and get immersed in their storylines. If I do a small league, I can do a simple promotion/relegation.

I'm happy to enter your players into my game, and I'll post their cards every so often, but that's the extent of it.

It shouldn't be long before Henry Freeman and Zebulon Morse and Kyle Walton enter the IPA Hall of Fame, if I'm not too mistaken here, either. Jethro's probably not got much more time left in his own playing career, and I also think that Jedediah's about to retire here, if he's not already done so by now, along with Tanner. Both Barrett and Simon probably won't choose to play past about 1905 or 1910 as well, at the latest, come to think of it. CD out.

Yes, they will all retire soon. I think Tanner Garber is 40 years old now.

As for potential rivals to your Morses, Waltons and Tulachs, I usually just use characters' names from my favorite movies and tv shows. My next created player will be Huell Babineaux (from the Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul universe). That's certainly an interesting name. And although you don't like Game of Thrones, there's a lot of interesting names from that.

I'll also be using some players from the Major League movies - like Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn, Willie Mays Hayes, Pedro Cerrano, Roger Dorn, Rube Baker, etc. They will all be on the Cleveland MLB team, of course. I also like the name Crash Davis from the Bull Durham movie

Yes, Jethro Morse and the other four first-generation players should still be playing here, if they haven't already done so, I think. The youngest two started in 1887, if memory serves, so it's not implausible that they might still be playing for a few more years past 1903 or so, at least, if not 1905 or later.

Jedediah started in 1880, and Jethro in 1879, most likely, with Tanner starting around 1883 or 1884, it seems. So I wouldn't expect Jethro to play past the end of his current contract, to be honest, or at least not much longer, at that, after it.

I think we'll ultimately be seeing the actual end of the relevant playing careers for the above five players by the end of 1908 or so at the latest, if not sooner than that. Either by manual retirement or by automatic retirement, especially if you eventually institute an upper age limit for IPA players somewhere in or around their middle to their late forties, more or less.
