He also has a picture on his Wikipedia page and that matches the Photopack thread as him on the 1915 Cedar Rapids Rabbits. ;p

The Dubuque Times Journal on March 24, 1912 reported that 43 men had tried out for the Dubuque Hustlers team in the Blass B Three – I League. Among them was listed “G. Tomer – OF age 21.” Dubuque’s manager was Pants Rowland, who later led the 1917 Chicago White Sox to a World Championship. On April 16 the Telegraph Herald, shaving two years off George’s previously stated age, had this story:

A nineteen-year-old youth walked into the sanctum of baseball headquarters and announced himself as George Tomer, the slugging outfielder hailing from Perry, Iowa. The “kid” did not waiver under the critical eye of the boss, and with a world of confidence requested that he be given his uniform, desiring to get in the harness immediately…With a wallop that resounded throughout the enclosure the youth sent the pellet sailing far over the heads of those stationed about the field.

During that week of April the Dubuque papers continued to praise the play of Tomer, who had two hits, including a three-run homer, in an exhibition game with Sacred Heart College. On April 23, though, he was cut. the Telegraph Herald wrote, “Rowland has sent him back only that the rough edges may be removed….His hitting strength should land him a berth in any Class C or D league even this summer.” However, perhaps the manager discovered that Tomer was neither 21 nor 19, but only 16 years old! His birth date was November 26, 1895 and he was holding his own with seasoned players.

The next year the Telegraph Herald reported that the “kid” was batting over .300 and was the fastest outfielder in the Kitty League, playing for Henderson, Kentucky. By the end of the year, he was on the bench of the American League St. Louis Browns. On September 17, 1913, manger Branch Rickey sent him up to bate once and he struck out. His age was 17 years, 9 months, 21 days. Although he continued playing well for many years thereafter, he never got another chance at the big leagues. Only one other player in recorded history of Major League baseball had but a single at bat at a younger age. - perryia.org

So, I used both of the pictures the intrepid photopack team found, one old and one young, and asked the AI to merge them into a picture I could use for facegen (without all the newspaper dots) and got the third picture. Everything I generated was very similar. It's the first time I've ever used the AI to merge two pictures. Anyway, I still need to perfect my AI prompts to limit some of the shading, but I smoothed some of that away. So, one more Bickerson gone and in his place, here is small-town Iowa baseball legend, George C. Tomer.

I'm having the damnest time getting this installed: OOTP 23, Windows 10, purchased through Steam, all default directories

I've downloaded the pack via Steam Workshop and installed (a couple of times). I've also tried force updating the pics but to no avail. Anyone have instructions or suggestions for what I should try?

I've had no problem installing facegen packs in the past with other versions of OOTP, so not sure what the issue is.

FancySkunk is the one that has been responsible for downloading and incorporating all supplements into the CUF pack and ensuring that it is put on Steam via the Workshop. I realize that there are thousands of updates from the community myself included, but Steam subscribers are reliant upon him to update the Workshop file. But merely subscribing to it, as I understand it, is sufficient for it to apply to the game in Steam. i own the Steam copy and the FastSpring copy but it is the FastSpring one I use on a daily basis so I'm more knowledgeable about using fgs on that file structure. Is it the pack itself that isn't working for you or some of these posted and individual new ones that are not? If the individual ones, it may be because the CUF subscription is overwriting them. If it is the CUF itself not working, that seems a different issue.

Yeah, I'm subscribed to it via Steam. What's weird is that it works for historical games. Like I just started a new 1999 one last night (after I posted), and the facegens loaded without me having to do anything special. So it's just the 2022 standard games where it's not loading. My guess is that maybe it's not directed to the right file path or something along those lines. Because they're definitely downloaded and installed for the historical games. So IDK.

So virtually everyone in the '22 standard game (that is under the MLBPA license) has a facegen that ships with the game. On the Settings>Troubleshooting, maybe try force reinstallation (not of the fg's specifically but of the game). The CUF pack has a lot of current minor league players though the quality of those may not be the greatest.

William H. Barnes was a center fielder for the St. Paul Saints of the Union Association, a replacement team which began play near the end of the 1884 season.
