Ha! Spoiler alert! We are watching that one next. I remember my parents watching this one but don't recall much. I have heard about the last episode though.

That’s actually the better show of the two, IMO. You can’t go wrong with either, though.

Both Newhart shows were outstanding... enjoyed both of them in real time.
You had to watch them live... nope, no streaming back then... don't even think we could tape the first show. We may have had a VCR for the second show. Nice image on the Chicago Newharts... the Newhart image reminds me of his award-winning comedy records... nobody goes that far back except me... The Button-Down Mind Series... his shtick was one-way conversations. Yep, EC is quite old. Here and 8-minute cut of Bob Newhart comedy from the early 1960s. I did a Greenwich Village version of Nighthawks to celebrate my favorite artist, Edward Hopper. Famous for the painting "Nighthawks" which was (supposedly) inspired by a all night diner in the NYC neighborhood.

Love the pattern behind Jackalopes, gonna use that one. There must be some minor league teams in my world left that I haven't renamed using your logos or others on here

So creating that Greenwich Village logo started me thinking about neighborhoods. So here is one more New York neighborhood and then a few in Orlando where I live. I'll be making some more Orlando ones.

A couple from this weekend
Parramore Tigers Conway Ducks Lake Fairview Sailors Parramore is a neighborhood in Orlando and after doing a bit of research I found they had a logo with a color palette. I wanted to create something authentic to this historically rich neighborhood and enjoyed the challenge of using the established color palette. The colors are very analogous which works for the real life logo but does present some challenges here.

I created the Mills 50 logo first and decided it deserved a major city since that one took me an entire evening to create. The Mills 50 neighborhood is an alternative downtown with a lot of great bars, restaurants, and a couple of music venues. While Orlando has a "Little Saigon" neighborhood, it has been absorbed by the Mills 50 moniker. The first versions of this were trying to pay homage to the various ideas of this neighborhood but it never felt quite right so I went with a kind of beer label look.
I'm not sure why the Lake Underhill logo ended up so 1980s, but I went with it. I'm enjoying the neighborhoods project and might consider doing some more in a different city. I've spent a lot of time in cities like Atlanta, Portland, Detroit, and Raleigh-Durham so that could be fun? Part of what I've enjoyed with this cities project (I think I'm well over 450 different cities now) is the chance to do a little research into the unique places across the U.S. Portland Brewmasters Mills 50 Brewmasters Lake Underhill Impact

I really appreciate all the unique logos that you have been churning out these days ... Just more so with the narratives regarding these locations... Well done, HK!
And most importantly - hints of more to come and the possibility of this thread's life! ![]()

Love the simplicity of the Burlington Woodcutters... green and brown colors go together well... the logo and axe image is excellent.
This reminds me of knuckler's last project... his New England League... or maybe it was the Vermont League. Sadly, he never finished all the teams, but the ones he did were excellent. |

OMG, HK!!
That's a Hall of Fame logo, mate!! An incredible display of harmony blend between colors and design... Awesome job!! Enjoy yourself going out of town, HK ![]() EC, I too, have been waiting eons for the New England League to be finalized... Since I am originally a Southie from Boston where I have explored most of these states... and to watch these towns comes to life!
