Bad blood between the Blue Jays and the Rangers? Say it isn't so!

Albern Wilson hit a pinch hit homerun in the 9th inning to force extra innings. He stayed in the game and the next time he came up, he was hit in the hand by a pitch, forcing him to leave.

Chris McAllister homered in the 11th to give the Rangers a walk-off, 5-4 win.

But the Jays remember.

Jake Bernard also homered for Toronto.

Wilson will need to sit for the better part of a week.

Jeimer Candelario got an RBI single in the 9th to force extra innings and then he hit a home run in the 12th to give the Jays a walk-off, 3-2 win over Oakland!

Micah Coker, who is only 25 years old, has decided to hang up the cleats.

He finished up in Bluefield (Rookie ball), and never hit the bigs, getting only three appearances as high as AAA.

He was drafted by the Cardinals in 2018.

He was in the Blue Jay organization for a short stint in 2023 and then rejoined them this past March in a trade with the Nationals that also brought in Iolana Akua for Jordan Dunatov.

The only thing still to be decided in the AL is which Wild Card team gets the Home field advantage.

The Division Winners are Yankees, Tigers, and Angels.

The two Wide Card teams are the Red Sox and Rangers and they are currently tied.

Things are not as clear in the NL.

The Phillies have clinched their division.

In the Central, the Pirates and Cubs are tied and the loser is out of the playoffs altogether.

In the West the Padres leads with the Giants back by 2 and the Dodgers back by 3, with the two trailing teams also being the Wild Card teams.

Down in Vancouver we had a couple of retirement announcements.

Les Moore (great name). Les played in AAA in Memphis from 2021-2023 but never made the Majors.
He was drafted by the Cardinals in 2019 and stayed with them until he was released just before the current season. The Blue Jays signed him to a minor league contract at the end of April but in August he was diagnosed with a damaged elbow ligament, and that put an end to his career.

The other retirement was by Manager Dave Littlefield.

He piloted the Canadians to an incredible 65-11 record in his one year with the team, but has decided to enjoy his retirement at home in New York.

The penultimate game of the season was a doozy! The Jays trailed the Red Sox by as much as seven but a big comeback was topped off by a Jake Bernard Grand Slam in the 9th to force extra innings. Eventually it was an RBI double by Yoenis Cespedes in the 15th that gave Toronto the 12-11 win!

The Jays gave a number of their regulars the day off. Jack Gill went 3 for 4 with a home run, but the Jays lost their final game of the season, falling 10-5 to the Red Sox.
