That is 8 losses in a row and the Blue Jays are officially eliminated from play-off contention.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED:

When you DH gets injured he is removed from the line-up (as normal) but when you go to replace him, DH is not a position available for the new player. You lose the DH AND you need to drop a pitcher into the spot, so you are forced to change your pitcher!

WHAT I AM SAYING HAPPENED:

September 2nd, 2019

Was manager Rusty Priske hungover after drowning his sorrows after the Jays were eliminated yesterday? Keon Barnum left the game with an injury and Priske botched his line-up card so badly that it cost him the DH spot, his starting pitcher, and a back-up catcher. What a mess.

But talk about overcoming adversity! Four relievers kept the White Sox quiet while Lonnie Chisenhall hit two home runs and Alfredo Mate hit another ending in a 4-2 win for Toronto!

It looks like Barnum is gone for the season.
