Start realtime simulation, pause realtime simulation, go to Options and Setup and the program will not display settings saying that you can't while in realtime simulation.

Shouldn't you be able to if it is paused? A restart of the game let me.

Have seen a crash with the expansion draft after round 35 if the rounds for the draft have been changed. With the parameters set I could have up to a 60 round draft and ended up trying to have a 50 round one. This is using the MLB quickstart.

WAR vs VORP calculations

Looks like the leaderboards page is not calculating WAR properly. It's taking just 1/10 of VORP, so it is not adding in the fielding component. This occurred in OOTP12 as well. A few screen shots, in which you can see that WAR = 1/10th of VORP.

Ok. I tested this and here's my results: yes, the game did freeze that is until I changed the number of draft rounds back to its original number (it was originally set at 10 -> increased to 20 -> reduced back to 10) then to resume the game all I had to do was click Play -> Auto-Play To Event -> 07/15/2014: 2014 All-Star Game and the game resumed.

Getting some "OOPT encountered" messages and will shutdown.

One that seems consistent..
1. I'm on the off season screen observing FA offers and transactions
2. a trade is reported in upper right box
3. F4 is my bookmark key to go to league home screen
4. news is set to "transaction" tab
5. after trade I hit f4 as I find it easier to see the trade there
6. this gives me the message and then game closes

Don't know if this happens 100% of the time but it does seem to be a trigger for the close down.


I have also had random(?), (haven't found an exact cause) error\close down messages. I think they have all happened either using a bookmark key or right clicking to exit a player card(however exiting a player card via right click only crashes the game very rarely). I think, but can't say for sure, that most if not all of these issues happen after some type of transaction followed by me either opening a player card or the news to get a closer look at the players involved.

Sorry can't be more specific. Also heading out to work soon and won't be home 'til late tonight. If a file of mine is needed to look at it let me know but I'm afraid it won't be 'til tonight before I can send anything.

League Logo

A small thing, but after I changed the league logo, the game started using the OOTP13 logo instead. The league logo shows on the league button - but the OOTP13 logo shows on the league page.


RESOLVED: logos must be 150x150 or they are not used - mine was 158x158

Run time error after changing in-game resolutions

My native monitor resolution is 1920x1080 however the game will CTD w/ a run time error upon exiting out of OOTP13 and continuing my game. It seems to get to the end of the file load and say 'creating pictures for...'then I get the run time error.

The only resolutions I have been able to load the game in are: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x900

Neither user defined or Maximized work.

Edit: I should also add that the game would CTD w/ a run time error upon the very last stage of importing a OOTP12 file unless I was using one of the above resolutions. This took me several hours to determine as the OOTP12 league is 120+ yrs. So the import would take a couple hours before CTD while saving at the very end of the import process...Import seemed to work fine if my in-game resolution was set to one of the three listed above.

I would really like to get this running in 1920x1080, but 1600x900 will work ok temporarily. No issues with OOTP running my native resolution.

Drivers are up to date. I run a Radeon HD 6990 and my drivers are the latest official AMD release. No issues with other software.

In my league, Kyle Lohse has demanded a trade from St. Louis...the Cardinals in turn placed him on the trading block. The only problem is, that I went to negotiate a trade, and before I could even make an offer, I am told that Lohse is exercising his "no trade" clause. To me this doesn't make sense. Why would he exercise his no trade clause after demanding a trade?


EDIT: The player in question is listed as "available", but is not physically on the trading block. Not sure if this makes a difference.

It appears that General Managers in real life are listed as Managers in the Available Personnel. Unless I'm mistaken, I recall Pat Gillick, Steve Phillips, Paul DePodesta and many others on the list were General Managers, NOT Managers.

Oddly enough, I just played the opening game for the season and I receive this email (Tampa Bay Rays are apparently out of the playoffs).

The date of the email shows April 6th, 2012. You will see the current date at the top of the screen as April 6th, 2012.

Tampa Bay just hit their tragic number (so the article says) and are out of contention for the playoffs after an opening day loss.

Draft

So can someone explain in detail what is going on with the draft? Consistently I see rounds 1 and 2 with 17-21 picks. I know compensation changed to 12.4M (or whatever) but why would picks disappear? The loss of those picks goes to the player's previous team does it not?

I cannot imagine that in 2013, 2014, the real life MLB draft will have 17 first round picks.

BTW, I think the issue might have something to do with having the delayed notification of injuries. Not positive, but I think when a minor leaguer gets injured, but they're not sure how long they'll be out, the e-mail doesn't get generated once the injury length is figured out.

So far these are the only three things I have discovered that get me as possible bugs.

1) Using dark skin, I was unable to view the preseason predictions. I switch to one of the other two and I can see them.

2) Word-wrap feature on some news articles (ie newspaper) not working. I am sure this will be resolved soon.

3) Maybe it's just me, but when the clock rolls over to 12:00 midnight, it stays at 12:00 PM instead of going to 12:00 AM. It does evantually switch over at 1:00 AM, but is this a bug?

Other than that, so far, I am running a historical sim starting in 1901 and a OOTP 12 import and have had a great time with both. I love 13. Great job Markus and crew!!

Every Affiliate listed as in the AL eastern division

All my minor league affiliates say there are in the AL Eastern division
