Spritze DB's for OOTP11 - Page 16

I appreciate all the hard work both Gambo and
Spritze do on these DB's, but for me they are getting overpowering. Too many players, I need a realistic number of players, not thousands who will never make the show. I want to run a dynasty with historical players from 1939-1960 with more than are found in Lahman, but not 1000 more, realistic rosters with enough players for 2-3 layers of minors will be fine. real entry and debut dates too.

Help. please.

who r the players that they have in their that have never played MLB other then some Negro League Players and some Nippon League players? They have several different DB's to suit your preferences.

I agree somewhat but that's why I trim out my database to only include ~500 minor/negro leaguers who never made the majors and about the 50 top japanese players.

i have a historical league and i am improting a historical free agent.

thats the id for oscar charleston yet i cant for the life of me get it to import from the historical database like i did the other players.

So I wanted to start up a 1975 dynasty, and download the high school no asians and imported the history up to '75. Looking through the leaderboard there are some insane numbers.
Jim Mallory with 764 runs in 1944
Jim O'Rourke with 255 times caught stealing in1887
Cesar Tovar with 437 strikeouts in 1961..There are a bunch of crazy pitching ones too.
Did I import it wrong? Or just some mistypes in the database?

I am doing a Historical Replay using the Spritze High School Player Database for OOTP11 (V3). I am currently in the 1917 season. Will I ever be able to import this Replay to OOTP12?

A number of corrections...... as in some instances Lahman had pitchers with more K's than batters faced and things like that which resulted in pitchers who only had 10 IP IRL leading the league in strikeouts or batters with weird offensive numbers. Added a lot of 19th century data. Upgraded the neutralized fielding to work reasonably well when data is fairly unavailable. Added the bits that make it work with OOTP12.

Really, pretty much nothing.

One semi-interesting thing I found by accident....while testing this db I researched the few Japanese players of the 30's and 40's who made the ML in the tests I ran. Nearly all of them were actually from Hawaii or California and went to play in Japan because they had no options. It appears the color line extended to Asians as well as blacks. I had not thought of that before. Now I know.

You guys just amaze me with all the time and effort you put into the database creations. I want to thank you it is because of you that I have enjoyed the OOTP game for as long as I have. keep me posted on the progress of the high school db for 12 and keep up the good work.
