Hey Lans, just curious, do you ever think you'll do a Bando w/ a 'stache? In my '70s tourny I often select to be one of the Swingin' A's teams. I know there's a 'stached Sal Bando on here, but just wondering if you think you'll ever do one-

Thank you so much! I'm working on what I can do, creating the historical alternative uniforms. Almost done with the deadball era, some of them look pretty cool! A nice contrast to the usually drab uniforms from that era. Will post them in the appropriate forum when I'm finished.

Is there a way to get the uniforms working for the 19th century inactive teams players?
Hartford Dark Blues, Louisville Colonels etc? The Jack Glasscocks of that era have drab, white blank jerseys for Facegens |

I can probably get to 19th century uniforms in a few weeks, after I'm done doing the alternate uniforms from 1900 thru the present day.

I have 19th century uniforms on my disc but they are old one so no pant and they don't look as good as the new models if you want them...
And to answer your question... No, if you don't play those years the players will never have a real uniform since those teams don't exist in your game and you never saved an uniform for them.

Danny Doyle
Before Pedro Martinez arrived, scout Danny Doyle could laugh that he had signed every Red Sox Cy Young winner: Jim Lonborg and Roger Clemens. In 1988, Danny Doyle was named Midwest Scout of the Year by the Scout of the Year Foundation. Danny Doyle was a catcher, called up to the major leagues right at the end of the 1943 season. He appeared in 13 games for the Red Sox, but then got a call-up of another sort and served in the United States Army Air Force in 1944 and 1945. With the onset of diabetes, and all the veteran Sox servicemen returning in 1946, he never saw duty again as a major-league ballplayer — though he signed a number of players as one of the most effective Red Sox scouts. - SABR
I pulled some college yearbook pictures of him from Oklahoma State to get a straight-on shot. The bRef picture is terrible. I didn't see a "before" fg file in the CUF pack.

LansdowneSt when you will have some free time could you try your magic on Bill Werle? This was sure a happy guy since I can't find a picture of him without a big smile and I'm unable to do something good with that kind of photo... thanks!

Mason Auer
Coming out of high school, Auer was viewed as a developing pitcher who could also play in the outfield. Now he’s an outfielder who can also pitch. Auer pitched and hit at Missouri State in the shortened 2020 season, then transferred to San Jacinto (Texas) JC for 2021. Auer was San Jac’s best hitter, hitting .373/.525/.627 with 11 home runs and 34 steals in 37 tries. Auer also made nine relatively effective outings on the mound for the Gators, but his speed, developing power and center field defense are now more alluring than his arm strength on the mound. He’s committed to Oregon. - Baseball America
As requested, here is the fifth pick of the Tampa Rays in the 2021 Major League Baseball draft. I used the narrow and much younger picture of him on the far right to start with and filled it out as he's listed at 6'1" and 210lbs. Afterall, if he's made the bigs for ya, CBLC, he ought to have more filled out face.

Sal Bando (with mustache)
Before the 1972 season, Oakland A's star outfielder, Reggie Jackson grew a mustache. A’s owner Charlie Finley didn’t like it. He told Oakland manager Dick Williams to tell Reggie to shave. Williams did so, and Reggie, in the words of teammate Mike Hegan, “told Dick where he could shove it.”
As A’s third baseman Sal Bando recounted, “Finley, to my knowledge did not want to go tell Reggie to shave it. So he thought it would be better to have us all grow mustaches. That way Reggie wouldn’t be an “individual” anymore.” To that end, as Opening Day approached (following the brief players strike late that spring training) Finley asked A’s pitchers Catfish Hunter, Rollie Fingers, Darold Knowles, and Bob Locker to all grow mustaches. The A’s opened up the 1972 season on April 15 in the Coliseum against the Minnesota Twins. When Jackson came up to bat in the bottom of the first inning, he became the first player to wear facial hair in a game since Schang in 1914. But by then something funny had happened: Finley actually started to like the mustaches. He thought it was kind of fun. While at first blush that may seem sort of surprising, it does fit in with Finely’s personality, at least as it related to the rest of the baseball establishment. Finley was a lot of things, not a lot of them good, but he certainly didn’t care for many of his fellow owners or the commissioner, and he probably figured that the A’s taking the field with faces full of hair would rub some of them the wrong way. Or, perhaps, that it’d be a good marketing angle for his club. Whatever the case, he went from trying to trick Reggie into shaving out of spite to actively encouraging the rest of his team to grow facial hair. Finley offered a cash incentive — $300 — to any player who had successfully grown a mustache by Father’s Day. The whole team joined in. Even manager Dick Williams would grow one. The Mustache Gang, as the mid-70s A’s came to be known, were born. - nbcsports.com percolaten, here's my take on Sal Bando with a mustache as requested. Put it somewhere safe (though i suppose it will hang out here in this post if you write over it) as I may someday do it over without one as I remember him as more of a clean-shaven Brewer when I was a kid.

Arquimedez Pozo
In July of 1996, the Red Sox called up a young third baseman from Pawtucket. It was not his first major league game — he’d had one (and only one) with Seattle the previous year. He was on no one’s radar as a top prospect, and he shouldn’t have been: his tenure with the team was short and brutal. He played in only 25 games as a member of the Red Sox, and then vanished back into the minor leagues, where languished for another two seasons. In 2000, he popped up again, this time with the Mexico City Tigers, of the Mexican League. After that, he ceased to exist in professional baseball. His record as a ballplayer was unimpressive to say the least, and his impact less than minimal. There is really no reason to remember him at all, save one: his name. - firebrandal.com
Here you are, luckymann. Weird shading on the one in the CUF pack. I finished the other ones too so will get them up before the weekend ends.

I'm assuming your FaceGen pack is the one being used in OOTP. Julio Cruz has no PhotoFit FaceGen file in the game and needs to be added. No option is appearing to attach files to this message, so here are the best links I could find:

For the players that are under the MLBPA license and who have likenesses that are officially "being used in OOTP," I've done a lot of them. For retired players like Julio Cruz, their facegens don't come with the game. Most users install the .fg files in the Complete Universe Facegen (CUF) modpack that FancySkunk maintains for historic players. The ones I have done over the course of the year are generally uploaded into it by him once a year in the preseason so 90% of the CUF ones are not mine. For those that don't like to wait, my facegen creations are uploaded to mediafire (see signature) every month or so and it currently stands at 11% of all MLB'ers. All that, to say this: I'll knock out Julio tomorrow and post it here

Notice that if you install the face pack there is a huge amount of players with the wrong id so they won't load...
I plan to upload what I have done at some point (currently 1871 to 1951), ideally it would be when everything will be completed so I hope before the release of OOTP 24 with everything you need to start an historical game from the beginning of the MLB. I post some in my thread but there are a lot of non-posted ones since taking before and after pictures for every player is a lot of time wasted that I prefer to use on player creation... Obviously I take special request but most people want current players and I'm not there yet...
