Yes. IMO of course - I don't want to upset any more people than I already have.

Forest are marching right now - 4-0 from Chesterfield gives them 16 from the first 6 matches. I wish there weren't such a long way to go!

If this were matchday 30 and they had 16 points theyd be in trouble.

I wouldn't bother asking, you won't get any response, as I've annoyed everyone away with my posts. In fact the thread may as well be closed.

They only hold your self-deprication against you as no one believes it.

Why should small countries have to qualify to play the big boys, they have as much right to play than any of the big countries. Everyone keeps going on about they get beat every time, tell me how they are supposed to learn and improve if they only play weaker teams all the time. And all this there’s too many fixtures, well stop playing meaningless friendlies, I mean England played Greece for no reason at all they could have used the Andorra game as a warm up to more strenuous games.

The big countries get seeded isn’t that enough or why not just get rid of the qualifying groups and invite the 32 biggest and best countries, by the way not mentioned anywhere this week were smaller countries like Lithuania drawing away against Italy << World Cup winners, Finland beating Poland away another team in the last World Cup, Republic of Ireland a country who not long ago were classed as a small country only losing 1-0 away to the World Cup semi finalists Germany or little Luxembourg only losing to another World Cup team Holland 1-0.

What people forget is that the smaller countries and teams are what make football different and one of the best if not the best sport in the world, were would the world cup be without America beating England in 1950, Algeria beating West Germany in 1982, Cameroon beating Argentina in 1990 or Senegal beating France in 2002 or were would the FA Cup be without teams like Hereford beating Newcastle, Wimbledon beating Liverpool and so on yeah lets kick the smaller teams out and get rid of the passion of football.

In the USA, probably in the same place as if they had lost to England.

The final two games in the finals group stage would still be played at different times?

Without rubbish Senegalese (and others that managers buy based only on their performances at big tournaments) players in the Premiership? Including one who spits.

Sample answers to the exam there, pick apart as you wish.

One other thing I have thought about since it was mentioned, is that people say the pre-qualifying games should be played during either the World Cup or European finals.
Two things from that:
1 - who do those teams that don't qualify play during the main qualification. Oh yes, the same teams that didn't qualify in the first place, so how that is ever going to improve their level, I'm not entirely sure.
2 - what happens to those international dates that are released because there are fewer qualifiers? More friendlies maybe?

One more note I had to laugh at is that someone said that even though Greece and Turkey were once the whipping boys and look where they are now, this is completely different, because these countries don't have many people in them.
So we now have to set a population limiter for those who can enter. Total madness IMO.

And of course we will be up by definitely one, and maybe two more countries in UEFA by the start of the World Cup 2010 qualifiers.

Well said UKHS. In all honesty I was leaning the other way but you present a strong forceful case that has me changing my mind.

Id either make the season shorter or have fewer 2 match weeks. It might extend some careers.

Nice job too SDPM. Youve redeemed manhood lost in the Finding Nemo post.

These days they should be punished by 'getting stoned with the locals'. There is nothing wrong with crying. WS 2002 is but one example here. And dont get me started about Joy Luck Club.

The above isnt true, is it??

It couldn't have been that good a job. You only quoted two sentences from three posts.
