While we're visiting Fenway, do you have a proper Rafa Devers handy please bud? I swear there is a ghost in the machine that just goes around randomly changing these - even ignoring the Mac tragedy with FG, this does NOT look like Rafa and I'm sure I had one in there previously that did.
![]() Or, Door B: I'm losing what's left of my tired old mind ![]() Either way, TIA. G |

For players like Raffy that are 6'0" 240lbs in the game, the challenge is that the game will auto-bloat them. So, you need to offset and account for that to get something that works. Unfortunately, that's his listed height and weight, so OOTP would have to give him a lower weight in their database just for the sake of a better facegen. I'd do this if I could because you see the facegen all the time and I have no idea what the in-game impact of ten pounds is. But as it is, he will always have some additional heaviness to his face, it's just how much you want to live with.

Great work on the FaceGens. I was wondering if you were planning on adding some from the the 2022 and 2021 draft. I noticed that several top picks did not have FG images available.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll do minor leaguers on request. I've redone about 10% of all the MLB'ers and that checklist is my focus. It's nice when a top pick gets a callup and I've already done him but that's never a guarantee to happen. But if there are a handful of top picks that are emerging in your sim and need facegens, just add the request to the thread here as others have done and I'll try to get to them - esp. if I can find a decent photo for them. It may take me a few days to get to a request, but I generally do.

Gavin Cross
Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 55 | Run: 55 | Arm: 50 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55
A relatively unheralded prospect coming out of the Tennessee high school ranks, Gavin Cross' father, Adam, briefly played minor league ball from 1995-’97. Gavin served notice he might be a college bat worth tracking when he hit .369 in 16 games during his shortened 2020 freshman season. He jumped onto the must-watch radar with a 1.035 OPS in 2021, landing on the All-ACC First Team in the process, and he was arguably the best hitter in competition with USA Baseball over the summer before continuing to rake for the Hokies this spring. That was enough for Kansas City to select him ninth overall and sign him for full slot at $5,202,900. A left-hander at the plate, Cross does have the chance to be an above-average hitter with above-average power. Some evaluators have concerns about his contact rates and strike zone control, though he’s greatly improved his walk rate and cut down on the strikeouts this season while driving the ball consistently. A tick-above-solid runner, he’s played center field this spring, but is better suited for a corner outfield spot. He’s also seen time at first base and could be an outstanding defender there. Cross’ improved approach at the plate helped Virginia Tech become one of the surprises of the college season. His broad set of skills should help him plug right into pro ball without too many hiccups, and he could be pushed further by a successful Royals Minor League hitting program. - mlb.com Found a picture without him smiling to use.

Frank Mozzicato
Frank Mozzicato, the Ellington native who blazed through his senior season at East Catholic like few, if any, players in Connecticut high school baseball history, is in his first season of low Single A ball. It’s an entry-level position for a promising career to which the Kansas City Royals have already committed $3.55 million, the bonus Mozzicato agreed to when signing his contract last July.
Mozzicato, 19, drives a Porsche Cayenne — black exterior, red interior — to and from Segra Park, home of the Fireflies, and in and around Irmo, the suburb where he shares an apartment with three teammates, all of them also rookies. He has a closet full of new clothes and access to enough cash, but not really the time or opportunity, to do whatever he wants on a given day. “You have to accept failure here,” Mozzicato said a day before his start, sitting in the dugout on the third base side. “We were drafted for a reason as much as those hitters were drafted for a reason. You’ve got to have the utmost confidence in your stuff, saying ‘I’m better than that guy.’ But I think failing is learning, especially right now. I’m getting my feet wet in this industry, learning the ins and outs, learning from mistakes. It hasn’t been hard. But the competitiveness in me, I do get frustrated just because I want to be the best possible.” - ctinsider.com As requested...

Austin Charles
The Royals’ 2022 MLB Draft concluded Tuesday afternoon with the club making franchise history by taking 17 college players to begin the event. But perhaps the most intriguing picks were in the prep players taken near the end, especially in two-way player Austin Charles, whom the Royals drafted in the 20th round to wrap up their selections.
A 6-foot-6 shortstop and right-handed pitcher, Charles dominated his senior season at Stockton (Calif.) High School, hitting .483 with 13 home runs and 57 RBIs — and posting a 1.36 ERA with 62 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings. By the end, he jumped onto Draft boards and ranked 109th overall on MLB Pipeline’s Draft prospect list. The Royals couldn’t ignore Charles’ tools, including plus athleticism and arm, pure power and bat speed. On the mound, he’s up to 94 mph with more in the tank as he grows. And he has a deceptive delivery, quick arm action and a decent feel for his slider. When Royals scouting director Danny Ontiveros looks at Charles, he thinks of when he first saw a current Major Leaguer back in high school. “It’s just a mold of clay that you can build, and the ceiling is just very high.” - mlb.com Tough to find a non-smiling picture.

Peyton Wilson
Former Alabama standout Peyton Wilson slammed a home run into the corn beyond the left-field fence on Tuesday night in the first minor-league baseball game played on the diamond at the “Field of Dreams” movie site. Playing center field and batting second in the order for Quad Cities, Wilson hit a third-inning, solo homer off Cedar Rapids left-hander Aaron Rozek that gave the River Bandits a three-run lead on their way to a 7-2 victory over the Kernels in a High-A Midwest League game.
Wilson played at Alabama in 2020 and 2021 after earning All-State recognition at Hoover High School in 2019. Wilson left the Crimson Tide as a second-round draft pick of the Kansas City Royals in 2021. In his second pro season, Wilson entered Tuesday night’s game hitting .252 with six home runs and 10 stolen bases while playing second base and center field in 60 games for the Royals’ High-A affiliate. - al.com Had to scroll through his social media to find decent pics. Best I can do on him for now.

Jesus Bastidas
As a native of Venezuela, a place with a rich and storied baseball history, Patriots infielder Jesus Bastidas knew at a very young age that he wanted to be a baseball player. His Dad was well-versed in the sport and pushed him towards it; at just three years old, Bastidas started tossing around a ball. As he grew up, he idolized 11-time Gold Glove Award winner Omar Vizquel. That kid from Barquisimeto is now 23-years old and finds himself in the midst of carving out a career for himself as a versatile infielder with slick fielding, good bat skills and ascending power tool that he hopes will propel him to the major leagues in the not-too-distant future.
Bastidas inked a deal with the Yankees as an international free agent as a 16-year-old back in 2016 and since then has largely floated under the radar. If 2022 is any indication though, he looks like he could be the next infield prospect to have that breakout power campaign to put himself in the proverbial conversation. - pinstripedprospects.com wow. That before pic. Sometimes, if there aren't good pictures of a player, it's best not to make a facegen at all rather than make one just to make one... I closed his mouth and significantly moderated the nasolabial lines because even though he smiles in every picture, I'm sure he doesn't all the time. Anyway, best I could do with the available pics...

Ronny Henriquez
The Twins dealt Mitch Garver to the Rangers for Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Ronny Henriquez. During his age-22 season, Henriquez was five years younger than Triple-A competition. He made 14 starts and ten relief appearances with a 5.66 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. He only faced a younger batter in one plate appearance this season, but he continued to have 10 K/9. Many consider Henriquez a top-20 prospect in the Twins organization. He has three above-average pitches that he can use to get outs. His fastball can hit in the upper 90s and has high spin rates that help him miss bats up in the zone. Henriquez also uses a slider and a changeup that has improved as he has climbed the minor league ladder. He will likely need to repeat Triple-A next season as the team decides whether or not he can be a starter. - twinsdaily.com
He's one of the 2022 debuts I hadn't done yet, so here he is... Another smiler but I did the best I could with it.

Scott Boches
Press Release, September 22, 2022, Easton, PA
The Lafayette College baseball program announced the hiring of Scott Boches as assistant coach. Boches will take on the role of the pitching coach for the Leopards. The Feasterville, Pa. native comes to Lafayette directly from the Seattle Mariners organization. He spent six seasons in professional baseball, climbing his way up from rookie ball to Triple-A. The right-handed pitcher had a successful career at Marist. He recorded 137 strikeouts in his career, while playing only three seasons due to injury. Boches accumulated a 4.31 career ERA, pitching a total of five complete games in his career. "Scott's resume and playing experience speaks for itself when it comes to pitch development and pitch design," Miller said. "Scott is the exact piece this staff needed when it comes to managing a pitching staff. As someone who played at the Division I level and pitched in the Seattle Mariners organization the last six years, Scott has a full understanding of what it takes from a mental, physical and development side of pitching in order to have success on the mound. Scott's organization, detail and passion for pitching are what stood out when I first met him and made it an easy decision to hire him as our next pitching coach. We are very excited to welcome him to Lafayette." Redone, as requested.

Tanner Bisbee
From mlb.com, #6 in the system
Scouting grades: Fastball: 60 | Curveball: 50 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 60 | Overall: 55 Part of a long line of Cal State Fullerton strike-throwers, Bibee claimed a rotation role by the end of his freshman season in 2018 and served as the Titans' No. 1 starter in 2020 and 2021. After the Guardians drafted him in the sixth round last July, they initially had him focus on honing his repertoire and delayed his pro debut until this year. He showed improved velocity while getting off to a strong start in High-A, then performed even better after he arrived in Double-A in July. After working with a 90-93 mph fastball and topping out at 95 in college, Bibee now operates at 93-97 mph and touches 99. His sweeping slider has climbed into the mid-80s and shows signs of becoming a plus offering, and he also can mix in an upper-70s curveball with more depth. His fading changeup in the low 80s gets swings and misses too, helping him keep left-handers in check. Bibee's fastball command may be his best attribute and he fills the zone with all four of his offerings. He comes with a high floor and a ceiling of a potential No. 3 or 4 starter. Cleveland has excelled at drafting polished college pitchers and helping them improve their stuff, and he's on his way to becoming yet another success story. He has glasses and a beard at the moment but no useable picture to make a facegen from those images. Maybe he gets a media day photo next year, closes his mouth and we can update it. I used the pic on the left but was aware that the face on the right is more current and tried to adjust accordingly.

Simeon Woods Richardson
Simeon Woods Richardson admits that he had thought about the absurdity of what his full last name would look like on the back of a Major League team’s jersey. It’s 16 characters long, pushing him decisively past the previous labyrinthine-last-name leader, former big league catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, for what’s believed to be the longest name on the back of a jersey in big league history.
“I could already envision it,” Woods Richardson said. “I already know it's going to go from love handle to love handle.” He no longer needs to imagine it, because such a jersey now exists and hangs from a locker in the visiting clubhouse at Comerica Park, with his beautifully arching last name enveloping a jersey number 78. It's about to hit the big stage, too, as Woods Richardson, the organization’s No. 6 prospect, will make his Major League debut as the Twins' starting pitcher in Sunday's series finale against the Tigers... - mlb.com I had recently done Simeon. The others I'll add to my list...
