Without a doubt. One of my favorite fighters. You always knew just what you were gonna get out of Matthew...he was gonna bring it every fight! Nice pickup. Wanna trade him for Troy Weaver? You might have to thrown in a draft pick to boot, because I have so many offers for Weaver. LOL. See ya later my friend.

Wow what a beat down... this one really disappointed me as we had won our last 2 bouts and now we go down by 40 points. The only good point was Bonavena stealing the title.

Seems to be a lot more KO's in the Gold Conference than the Silver Conference. Do weaker chins deserve the credit or better power punchers? Looking forward to the Juggernaut-CC matchup this weekend. Looks a lot like Tomato City is in control over the Muckboys. Athough you never know what them mitslingers are capable of. I think Mike needs a Juggernaut win with a lot of matches that go the distance and needs to really take care of business. A 45-35 Juggernaunt win and scoring 60 would do it. Not probable but possible.
On a side note, the Undisputed Champions athough having no shot of getting in the playoffs are very excited for their matchup against Ice Tea, atleast hoping to scare this dynasty a little coming into next year Much easier said than done however!

UTBA All-Stars
This idea was passed along to me by Romultiltus. Dave gets all the credit.
Great idea I think. I'm pleased to announce that the UTBA will hold it's first ever Gold vs. Silver All-Star match. The UTBA All-Stars match will be held on January 29, 2007. This match will not count towards the records of the fighters. All individual titles will not be on the line since it is just an exibition match. Managers can submit 2 names per weight class from their own conference and hopefully everyone will not be "homers" toward their own guys. Fighters that are nominated must at least have a winning record. Dave said he would try to work up some numbers and compile a list of names before we do any voting. All voting can be sent to me by PM. Last edited by SAL; 01-10-2007 at 08:19 PM. |

When you say two per weight class Scot, Are you looking for 1 from each conference, 2 from just the conference you participate in OR 2 from each conference(4 TOTAL)

I can't speak for how SAL's going to do it but I think voting for 2 from your own conference would be fairest. I have a good handle on the fighters in the Gold conference since I face them every year but I can barely name anyone form the Silver so it won't be fair for me to try and vote for them.

I also think that the PM's would work best. I have put a list together of all fighters w/ winning records and will post them next. There are too many to really post in a poll. |

Vote for your own conference and voting by PM sounds best
![]() What if there is a tie in the voting? what will be used as basis to choose between them?

All-Star Voting
First off, I want to make sure that Dave (Romultiltus) gets all the credit for this idea. He deserves the credit and also a BIG Thanks for all the stats he provides this league.
Voting...........2 per weight class in your own conference and by PM. Tie-breakers............I guess I'll break all ties as I've been subject to do so in the past. |

Voting can start now if anyone wants to. If you are having a tough time deciding and feel that the Round 10 results will clear up the fog, wait until this weekend.
The idea was proposed now so that there is sufficent time for all managers to send in their votes. Since this has no bearing on the league standings, individual awards or team rankings, there is really no reason to hold off until the end of the season. Just my 2 cents... |

Also, Jimmy Britt is 12-4-2 this season and he's 29-22-8 overall while rated 3. Jeez, no wonder Icetea has done so well Britt has outperformed guys rated 4+ more then him. That has to be the best pick up in UTBA history.
