We are 5-10 so far this month, 6½ games behind Corvair. After the Alderaan series we will go back to a 5 man rotation. For now Duke will be the #5. Derek Self will miss 2-3 weeks. RP Don Jenkins was recalled from AAA but after giving up 5 ER in .1 IP I sent him back down and recalled RP Lee Fernando.
While we still have a comfortable lead in the Wildcard, we have a big series coming up vs Glenbard next week. I hope to still have a winning record this month.

3 games vs Cougars. We are 3-3 vs them.
They are doing everything they can to catch Madison. They were within a game ½ just a week ago but fell back to 5 GB. They are getting some solid play from SP Mike Fine, DH Lawrence Hamilton & C Bartolo Rivera. There is a lot of season left. Part of me is cheering for them but I dont think they stand as good of a chance vs Corvair as Madison does.

Despite being 30 GB Alderaan they are rather respectable. If they get SP Michael Wilhite back healthy next year and add another SP and perhaps 1 more bat they could contend. They have a superstar 3B Quinn Ransom in the minors who could be a great player. a switch hitting 3B with perhaps more range then Juan San Anontio and the power of Jimnmy Dugan.
