And that's the right way to take it. You've seen what he's done (at least some of it). Enjoy yourself, but take precaution.
Also, just to be on the safe side (given his history on this forum), save the files from every sim. |

again... why does the notion that everything that he says get rejected prohibit him from at least TRYING to explain things? Or for that matter, YOU trying to explain things? Is this what the guy said in Radiohead's "Just" video? If we hear it are we all just going to lie down on the street? There has to be some sort of valid explanation.

As I said previously, I DID talk to him on AIM. He was trying to get me to join in order to give the league some credibility. I asked him to clear things up from the first time he was accused of cheating. His answers, again I am repeating myself, either did not make sense (something about manager mode causing changes to be made in free agency), or he simply said "I don't remember but I didn't cheat." That hardly clears things up. In the end I told him that I did not trust him and declined the invitation.
The latest allegations are far more damaging and he has not attempted to respond. In the league thread regarding Josh Beckett's contract situation, his explanation again made no sense (he said it was an auto re-sign. For three years? Auto re-sign is for one year). The allegations regarding the secondary ratings and duration of his pitchers is even more disturbing. It seems quite blatant and he has made zero attempt to explain it other than saying that they were already that way in the roster set. A roster set he will not provide us a link for. All in all, I can't say that he definitively cheated, but I think anyone who isn't a fool would have to think that he did. Expecting us to simply accept what amounts to "just trust me" is simply not going to cut it in the face of what appears to be overwhelming evidence.

How can you "accidentally" start a manager mode? Do you know how many clicks it takes to start that?
Secondly, he said before that he simmed the World Series three times because he didn't want to win it...he wanted the other guy to. That's cheating, even if he's showing "good intentions". I'm not shooting anything down because it's Fit Dog. If anything, it doesn't make any sense. And that was with an old league, and old news. What I'm looking for is information on this new league (ie who donated the file). He hasn't even released a URL for it, after all the real beisbol controversy. -John |

I, too, am not 100% convinced that he is a serial cheater, but these events seem to follow him everywhere he goes, and he and Big Willis flat out lied about the original simming circumstances with Real Beisbol. Combine that with the answers given to some of the questions I asked, and I simply would not be able to believe that he is capable of running a clean, guilt-free league. |

Glad that someone could get what happened out there, atleast they listened to you Smith, now they cant say they dont know the story. In all truth it is a very big list of circumstances but they really did happen, and I hope that now that you guys have heard the story I may gain a little respect back in these boards.

And yes... I do think he'd spend that much time. If he didn't, then he wouldn't have people to gloat too when he cheated his way to victory. He seems to crave supremecy... at any costs. He's obviously filled with delusions of grandeur... Mfitterer1 the great indeed... |

I was in July with the league file because I simmed with maanger mode up until then, then a owner in the league had a question, I tried to open up the MLB2 and it was in July because of the manager mode. Thats when I had to roll back the file.
There were 4 text notes on some players pages, because I had to sign and resign them, and also they were signed in the manager mode by teams as well as in real life. That adds up to the 4 that you are referring to. holyroller, my answers at the time werent on the money because I had taken 4 months off from ootp and didnt remember every detail of what happened. Over the past month since I talked to you I have thought about it all and have cleared my mind. |

They were signed a first time liek they were supposed to be, the manager mode happened, had to roll back the file, signed them all again, this was 2nd time, then realized some teams still had offers in and got players that they didnt sign, rolled it back again, then the final time in which I took all offers off and then just signed them to their money totals for the season.
