Now I go one week into the season and try to activate Portugal, now it says I can't because Portugal isnt on the 40 man roster, compounded by the fact that if I put him on the minors roster he has to clear waivers (WTF!) and no LESS than 16 teams claimed him. GRRRR!!!!

So aparently I have one of three choices
1) Leave Portugal on the DL for the season and try again next year... Wasting $4.5M of my measly budget.
2) Go ahead and let him get claimed, lose the best pitcher I have and get nothing.
3) Try to work a trade for him (not even sure if I can while he's on DL) or move him to minors and trade really fast!
Anything I missed or am reading wrong? Anyone else having this problem? I searched in the bugs post but didnt find anything about this problem -saw something similar here...

Yes I am using V6.01 - I forgot that tidbit of info....

I am also about 30 games into the 1999 season now, I left Portugal on the DL, and the team still stinks, so it really may not matter in this case - I'll probably try to deal him for a prospect, save some serious money....

My God - I'm really am sounding like Bill Giles (former COO of Phillies) This game IS almost lifelike in playing....
