Boston broke out to a 5-0 lead but Brooklyn came roaring back to beat them 10-5 behind a solid day by Sam Crawford, who went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles and three RBI. WP - Johnny Lush (4-2) LP - Cy Barger (1-2) Record - 93-59 With two games left against the Giants, the Superbas have a Magic Number of 1. They could clinch the NL pennant tomorrow.

Playing mostly September call-ups (it is possible that celebration yesterday had a deleterious effect on the physical well-being of many players), the Superbas dropped their final regular season game, 3-2, the the Giants. WP - Jon Adkins (4-2) LP - Bugs Raymond (9-8) FINAL REGULAR SEASON RECORD - 94-60 Bring on the Athletics!
