It took 12 innings but the Jays beat the Yankees 4-3. New York took the lead in the 11th but a Brett Lawrie bomb tied things back up, but in the bottom of the 12th Pablo Sandoval hit a double, scoring Anthony Gose and sending the Toronto fans home with some good cheer.

Gordon Beckham also went deep for the Jays.

WP - Steve Delabar (4-2)
LP - Mickey Storey (2-3)

Record - 78-74

Toronto is back within a game of the Wild Card, with 12 games left to play.

This was not a good game for many reasons - one of which is being shut out 6-0 by a pitcher who entered the game with an 8.05 ERA. Another was Colby Lewis leaving with an undisclosed injury.

WP - Jeremy Hefner (3-5)
LP - Colby Lewis (13-13)

Record - 78-75

2 Games behind Tampa Bay with only 5 games to play? Doesn't seem likely...

It turns out Brett Lawrie's injury was not at all serious. He will still sit out the final game of the season.
