What is so tough to understand? I want to buy this game when it comes out. But I don't visit this site every single day to constantly be checking for updates. If the game comes out in 6 months, I'm totally cool with that and if someone tells me "hey we hope to have it out in 6 months" then I know to look for it and go get it. If there is silence that's not helping.

It's really that simple. Someone, like me, comes to this website today to check up on the game because the previous estimated release was "Dec/Jan". I see there is no game yet and no updated estimate for a release date. What is one supposed to think? Ok the game is still being worked on probably, but they're not communicating and there is no current estimated release. Maybe there are serious delays? Maybe the game is dead? I don't know. When do I come back to check again? a month? All it takes is one small sentence of communication to answer these questions for everyone like me who is looking forward to this game and just wants to know when we should look for it. You're not doing them any favors by suggesting that lack of communication is good.

Yes, I run the Twitter and Facebook accounts for FHM and OOTP. While this job is part-time for me, I have other work I do too, so I'm in front of the computer all day and can quickly respond to questions/comments/gripes/threats to feed us to the wolves.

I'm happy to be a human shield for the development team.

I tried posting this question a few days ago but I think because I linked something it had to get verified by mods, so I'll try again...

I doubt this is even on the radar for the game's first version, seeming as it isn't even in OOTP's 13th release, but it would be nice to have some sort of dispersal draft for players like myself who wish to have the NHL contracted to, say, 20 or 24 teams. There's a workaround that user t-bone shuffle described for OOTP, so maybe that could work? I'd link it again but don't want my post blocked this time.

You could probably do this manually with the player editor and assign players from the defunct teams to any team you wish.

Yes, i'm sure you could too but it's a tedious process that would just feel like work. I play this game to get away from doing work.

This describes how you eliminate teams and then have an actual draft with the unassociated players in OOTP. Only issue seems to be salaries for these players may not match up. I don't know if FHM will have all the roster options/draft customization that OOTP has though.

This isn't an important feature by any means but I know I can't be the only person who would like this feature in a future version of the game.

if a lack of updates is concerning a potential customer, that's that. as long as that customer isn't being demanding or ridiculous (omg hourly updates, etc) then however they want to voice their concern is acceptable as long as it isn't distracting or excessive.

clearly the FHM squad has responded to this kind of feedback and will be releasing information soon and possibly even re-working how we get updates for the future. the entire back-and-forth is moot: we have information coming soon, so chill.

There are very few major sports that had a dispersal draft but the NHL is one of them back in 1991. I don't think it happened more then once but especially with fictional leagues it's a great feature to have. And the way the NHL is going it looks like we may see it again one day.

Yes you can play either as GM/Head Coach or play as GM and leave other stuff to your assistant

I'm a casual hockey fan but really excited for the game. Two questions:

-Will facegen be available version one? (reading conflicting reports in other threads).

-Will jerseys be used similar to OOTP? Being able to create and customize?
