Markus,
I haven't had the time to browse 11 pages of comments, so if this has been addressed already please disregard. The draft setup for the 2012 quickstart is completely off the mark. The Cardinals should have a goodly number of picks for losing Pujols to the Angels, but there isn't even a supplemental round. Once you get past 2012 things even out and you see supplemental rounds and such moving along as normal, but I'm just a smidge troubled that the 2012 draft is not correct. Thanks! |

Do you still feel this way about Romero or perhaps his ratings need to be worse. He has been simply awful this year especially recently. |

Might of missed it going thru this thread, but the game has Bryan Harper at 22 yrs and 114 days. He's 19 something.

So, anyone notice any changes to the rosters after the patch? Markus said in the patch thread that they fixed some glitches. Anyone see anything different. I am at work so I can't check but was wondering if they changed any ratings based upon 1/2 season worth of data.
Also are many of the players still wrecked or fragile? Last edited by renojedi; 07-13-2012 at 03:14 PM. |

what the hell is up with some of the contracts in the quickstart game? I started a new game after the update with the cubs, and it has dejesus signed through 2017, maholm thru 2015, and dempster thru 2015 at huge salaries.

Assuming these rosters are the same set as in iOOTP (which I use), Mariano Rivera has 10 out of 20 control and that is a joke that I won't even bother using basic logic to defend. Look at his numbers.
PS - the roster "update" that changed his control from around 17 to 10 was before he was injured for possibly the rest of the year. |

looks like the Votto contract was signed after the season started so I'm fine with that not being in there. showing a bit of mercy to the reds since I cant imagine the pain of being stuck with that albatross the first 12 years of gameplay. Last edited by dkgo; 07-19-2012 at 06:43 PM. |

Newbie Question
I just bought OOTP 13. After this major league season ends, how does OOTP update the players and teams with the 2012 numbers? Is it a patch or some other type of download?

I found a new contract that the patch released two versions ago messed up.
Tsuyoshi Nishioka of the Twins is making the league minimum in OOTP when in real life he has a 3yr/$9M deal with a team option for a 4th year at $4M/$250K buyout. EDIT: I found quite a few more players that need fixing. I updated my previous post a few posts back with all the players. (almost all are players that are expected to be FA this upcoming off-season that for whatever reason have the wrong contract in OOTP). Last edited by The Yurpman; 08-15-2012 at 10:58 PM. |

Not sure this has been mentioned before but Yoenis Cespedes does not come up as a rookie in regards to stats. He's having a very solid year for the A's in my solo league but hes not showing as a rookie. Jesus Montero, Mike Trout, Alexei Amarista all show up in the rookie leaders columns, but no mention of Cespedes anywhere.
EDIT- just realized his Major League service time is listed as over 7 years. Any idea why his service time was changed? Last edited by diesel230; 08-18-2012 at 11:01 PM. |

I have to ask about this too....
In this Eastern League the setup is 1 round of playoff between divisional winners. Now that I think is wrong. PLAYOFF FORMAT 1) The first round shall consist of a best-of-five series with the top two teams in each division playing one another. The second-place teams shall host games one and two, and the first-place teams shall host games three, four (if necessary) and five (if necessary). 2) The winners of the two first round series shall enter a final playoff series to determine the Eastern League Champion. That series shall be a best-of-five series. The Eastern Division team shall host games one and two in odd numbered years and games three, four (if necessary), and five (if necessary) in even numbered years. The Western Division team shall host games one and two in even numbered years, and games three, four (if necessary), and five (if necessary) in odd numbered years. Not sure if more minor leagues have some problems with playoffs but I haven´t seen anything mentioned... |

Carlos Santana (Indians C) has 15 Steal. Is he that smart of a base-stealer?
He is not fast and is 11/17 (64.7%) on the basepaths.

There was someone who used to make a mod of updated rosters and stats every year not sure if they still do, think they are part of the roster team now so not sure. Check the mods section otherwise just buy 14 when it comes out it'll be worth it. |
