Dempsey's back on his feet and he has a wild look in his eyes like a wounded animal! Joe's eye is swelling enough to impair his vision and it looks like he's anxious to finish Dempsey off - for good!

And there's the bell. Dempsey's shouting at Louis and the crowd's on it's feet. I don't know what time it is and could care less right now. The crowd is behind Dempsey who is taking a shellacking now - in the championship rounds, from Joe Louis.

Jack Dempsey, the fighter modern historians have brushed aside, is now being discovered by the boxing fans of the 21st century.

And Joe Louis, the man who has been faulted for having a "average chin" has withstood the punches thus far of one of the biggest punchers in the history of the game. At their best, you're seeing - the best!

The canvas looks like someone just gutted a pig on it. Joe has one eye half swollen shut and the other with blood pouring down into it!

Dempsey looks like one of the savage, blood soaked children from "Lord of the Flies" standing on the other side of the ring.

We're watching that punch again from the overhead camera's in slow motion. You can hear 177,000 plus people "Oh'ing and Ah'ing" as they're watching the replay. I don't think Dempsey could have done any more damage if he'd taken a machette to Louis head instead of the punch.
