I know but he said it before the hit. Of course I did predict a no-no but I didn't mention it while Harden was playing.

Yep, that was dumb move not to pull Pineiro when they had a lefty up in the 'pen.

So no perfecto today, but I'd take a complete game shutout.

You don't ask for much, do you? I would just be happy with a win if it were my team, whether it was a complete game shutout or a 20-19 slugfest.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

I'm always happy with just a win. But at the time with my guy throwing a one-hitter through seven, it'd be nice to see him get more than just a W.

(Of course now, the shutout is gone and I'm actually nervous with 6-1 and the bases loaded.)

Wish Macha would have pulled Harden out after the 7th but it looks like we'll hold on

what was Huston doing underhanding the ball from the other side of the mound to first base?! thank god we won this game or I would've been in the worst mood for the next two days.

Yeah, that was crazy. Maybe he was nervous because it was Ichiro. But Ichiro was only three steps out of the box when Huston gloved it.

I probably would've hunted down the first base umpire. Ichiro was out. Swisher came down onto Ichiro before he touched the bag. Game over.

Nope. God, I despise umpires.

I can't remember the last time the A's won their first two series of the year? Was La Russa managing the team? Maybe Billy Martin....

Actually since 2002, 2005 was the only year the A's didn't win the first two series of the year. In 2005 they lost the 2nd one.

Here are a couple of interesting "Where Are They Now" finds.

Terrence Long, currently playing for Reds Triple-A team.

Ben Grieve, current playing for White Sox Triple-A team.

Boy, that was quite a weekend for A's pitching...glad I don't have any Mariners on my fantasy team!!!

So, Haren gets the nod in Minny, would be nice to see him equal what the starters managed this weekend...especially since I've got Haren on my fantasy team!!!!
