These logos and uniforms are AMAZING!!! I finally LOVE my league.
You've inspired me to try my hand at this. I've downloaded GIMP and am gradually improving. I have a quick question you can hopefully answer: How do you use your layers to fill the main color in using the jersey templates? Thanks a ton for all your great work. |

Thank you and glad you like and use the uniforms... I really enjoy making and sharing them here...
Sorry but I am not familiar with Gimp at all... You may want to make a new thread and ask your questions there, for there are several guys that know Gimp and can help you... I use PaintShop Pro and mostly now use Photoshop Elements 11 with Elements XXL add-on to improve its features... In Elements you can add a fill layer that is linked to the jersey base or some other layer you need to fill and this makes it easy to change those colors... You can also use the paint bucket or fill tool to fill a layer with color... Using the fill tool or paint bucket tool you may need to adjust the tolerance level to get the correct level of color fill you want in the layer... Too much and it will distort the edges and too little will not fill the area entirely... You just have to play around with it... |

Paint.net is also a free program and you can find an add-on to allow you to open the psd Photoshop files...
PaintShop Pro is not a free program, but will open the psd Photoshop files though some of the layer groups and effects will not translate between the two programs... |

We are all grateful for that laptop purchase TX!
My ability is limited to the Paint.net and deleting backgrounds on makeshift black and white logos that you guys taught me

Question I would like to ask is, on certain jerseys and specially logos an example being the Chileros logo above, the X and Xalapa are yellow with a black edge and Chileros green with a black edge is there a font that does that or do you have to do something with the text? |

I would use different layers for each text. If you need different colours in same word, I do a duplicate, each layer with own set, and erase the ones I don't want Last edited by le receveur; 03-13-2014 at 10:53 AM. |

In Elements you can actually size and color each letter separately if you want to... Also PSP and Elements allow you to put a stoke around the text within the text layer itself, no separate layer... IMO you have to play with the location of the text in relation to the shading and texture layers you are using on the jersey... Sometimes if you put the text layer above all of the shading and texture layers it looks like you said, printed on... The shading and texture layers really give depth to the jersey and all of its elements...
