HW beginners and the first fight card of April are done ... first card featured a fight with six knockdowns and also a fight where both fighters were dropped in the same round, maybe only the second time I have seen that.

I have to work at 10PM every night this week ... so not sure when I will do the next live fight .... I could do one at 4:00 PM EST or 6:30 PM EST Wednesday night if anyone is interested ... Unification fight between Terry McGovern and Solly Smith would be the headliner

Live fight will be Wednesday night at 6:30 PM EST I will have the link up 10 minutes or so prior ....
Link info here Yuuguu Web Viewer PIN 132088 Main Event will be Terry McGovern (42-10-4) vs Solly Smith (33-18-4), which will unify the WBO and WBC FW titles. I will pick some name undercard bouts for the event and it will be rated R as the topless ringcard girls will be in use .... |

Great fight card
Missed by most ...
The LBA Cable Broadcasting company is dismayed by the lack of viewers earlier this evening despite the great card that they put on. President of LBA CB, Jack Dempsey NP, said "I'm not sure what more we can do ... 11 knockdowns in the final two fights, two tournament fights, a unification fight, Anna Nicole Smith baring all between rounds of one fight and we still pulled a 2 share (2 viewers)." Many feel it was due to the early start time and LBA CB execs will look for a later start time next week. Dempsey continued "We are committed to this service as none of the other major boxing organizations are showing live fights on this new picture box." In the main event Solly Smith came back from being down twice and way back on the cards to stop Terry McGovern. In the co-feature Jim Lampley was screaming "for the love of God stay down, stop the fight, stop the *** da** fight." But Willie Schaeffer made it to the end despite 4 knockdowns, 3 cuts, and both eyes swollen near shut. Next live fight will be broadcast next week, day and time to be announced hopefully Sunday. You missed a few great fights last night, and the main event in particular was a knock down drag out affair between Terry McGovern and Solly Smith.
Six knockdowns in the fight that was eventually won by Smith by a 9th round TKO.

I will see what my schedule is next week and hopefully have a live one at 10PM EST next week.
Henry Pearce (27-3) vs. Jack Johnson (52-4) will be the headliner ... Johnson is post, Pearce holds the WBO title and Johnson is the Ring Champion but holds no alphabet titles Last edited by Hanson Bros; 09-10-2009 at 05:35 PM. |

In maybe the last live fight ... A post-prime Jack Johnson defeated Henry Pearce to win the WBO HW title and retain the Ring Championship.
Thought live fights might do well but have had very disappointing turnouts. |

Also those who feel that cuts are way out of whack are not having a good month in the LBA ... so far about 26 fights in over 400 simmed fights have been stopped because of cuts and only 1 in 36 fight card fights have been stopped because of cuts.
Once again the evidence is proving that cuts are fine. |
