Hope you can clear a spot for Jethro on the Celtics before the 1883 or 1884 IPA seasons, somehow, for sure, no matter how you might have to do it here, if the computer doesn't do it for you here instead. Looks like Glasco really needs help quite soon in the middle infield, perhaps, at least, if not elsewhere on the field as well. Thank you for your time and all here, and looks like the rivalry between Henry and Jeddy is going to be a strong one here, as well, as far as I can currently tell here, at least on the field, jg2977. CD out.

It's easy clearing spots once I go into commissioner mode. I can release or trade players as needed, or to make it even simpler I can just change other players' positions in order to create openings on the roster.

If you'd actually send anyone off from Glasco to clear a spot for Jethro, I'd perhaps send off Woolwine or Barnicle or Ferrante, if not more than one or two of them. That's if they're still on the team, just prior to Jethro's debut year in your IPA, of course, you know, jg2977. I don't know if I'll have Jethro be a two-way player yet, once he starts playing in your IPA, but I think I'll at least propose him as a shortstop and outfielder, if not also a pitcher, for Glasco.

IF I ultimately do actually propose him as a potential two-way player here, however, I'll probably have him throwing five pitches in his repertoire, those being a fastball, a slider, a splitter, a circle change, and a sinker, I think. I don't know how well he'd be able to pitch with those pitches, or what they'll be rated at either at the start or potentially, of course.

As far as the non-pitching positions, I'd probably have him playing shortstop and all three outfielder positions. I don't think Glasco really needs another player who can play catcher at the moment. But perhaps if Jethro plays somewhere in the middle infield for Glasco, at least, he could quite often play right next to Zebulon, whether Zeb primarily plays at second or third for Glasco, on the field.

Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm quite sure. Thank you for your time and attention and all here, as always, of course, jg2977. CD out.

CD, I just finished the 1958 South Island League season.

Here are the stats for Gordon Freeman and Arthyr Freeman.
I let the AI generate their ratings... sorry, they are not going to be Hall of Famers.

Tanner Garber is definitely going to be playing up the middle for Kenwood, if accepted as I will propose him. I will propose him as a player capable of playing all five positions up the middle, just so you know, jg2977. Especially in the middle infield, for sure. You will have up to the end of the 1883 postseason to ultimately clear a spot for him on Kenwood, with his main position likely to be shortstop, it seems to me.

Jethro is going to be a shortstop/outfielder/pitcher, and Woolwine will need to be moved prior to the 1883 IPA season, for sure. Glasco can ill afford to keep him on the roster much longer, I think, especially with Jethro coming. Jethro will likely have five pitches on the mound available for him to use, but I'll have to figure out how good they will be, either at the start, or potentially, of course, by the time I propose his profile to you here.

At this point, it looks like Barrett is going to play shortstop and/or center field for Sugar Valley when he starts playing, but that could be subject to change later, of course. I will likely have him do so in direct personal rivalry with Jethro, and it should be rather interesting to see how they do in comparison to each other, I think. If he doesn't start in your IPA in 1883, then look for him to start playing in it in 1887, or thereabouts.

As for Simon, he's going to be a pitcher, for sure. Between now and 1883 or 1887 or so, you will need to find a good young catcher for Turon that won't be more than about two or three years older than him, if not the same basic age as him, more or less, so that they can hopefully spend many years together in the future as a battery of sorts. Sort of like Molina and Wainwright, for example, perhaps, jg2977?

Thank you for your time and attention and all here, as always, for sure. It's been rather interesting seeing how this version of your IPA is currently playing out. While Zebulon may not necessarily be a pitcher, mind you, and Simon may be about a dozen years younger than Zebulon, I do think that they could have a good rivalry with each other on the field, nevertheless, somehow. I'll talk more later and all, no doubt, Lord willing and all, I'm sure, jg2977. CD out.

That's Gordon, there, EC. And who knows, maybe they will eventually develop into Hall of Famers for this league. Gordon is young here, after all, still. CD out.

And as for Arthyr, let's just see what happens. Remember, he's still young here, too, of course, EC. Anything could happen here with either or both of them in their careers for this league, you know. CD out.

As you can see here, out of the 4 teams you requested, Kenwood could use the most help.

I like my created players to be Hall of Famers - it makes their careers much more interesting for me to follow. I won't make them superhuman like I used to, where they used to bat .480 with 85 home runs. But they're still exceptional ballplayers.

Both of them will have to earn a roster spot in spring training... they are both on the bubble... they will have 3 new rookies coming on the team... talent level will be average to good.

Hopefully both will have a breakout season.

Also, you're not playing many games in this league per season, either, at the current time, so most players aren't likely to put up a lot of counting statistics, and all, you know. The length of seasons will make a substantial difference in how much a player can develop, no doubt, in their playing careers for any league, I believe, EC. CD out.

As far as the players that I've proposed for jg2977's current version of his IPA, which player, of the four that have already entered it, do you think will ultimately have the best overall statistics for himself when their career is done? And which player do you think will have the most championships won? At the current time, Jeddy Holmes has one ring, and Zebulon Morse has one ring, but neither Henry nor Kyle have rings yet, it seems to me, in jg2977's current version of his IPA, EC.

I'm hoping that by the time Henry Freeman, both Morse brothers, and Kyle Walton retire, they each will have better average numbers and more titles than their four respective chief rivals, of course, but it could be close, I think, by the time all eight of those players are retired as players and all. We'll just have to see what happens for them all, you know, in the meantime, for sure, EC. CD out.

It's impossible to predict how many rings any of those players will have, just as in real life. Very good teams can become poor immediately. Bay St. Clair just won two division titles, now they are the worst team in the IPA. I think they finished at only 51-111 this past season. Denton City, with Henry Freeman, was dominating their division for a few years, but they have fallen off a bit, with Chicopee taking over as division champion over the past couple of years. Colfax and Belair Beach surprised everyone by winning division titles this season. Other teams like Cape Coral, South Fork, Ancona, Fort Benton, and Belle Plaine have been great recently, but their dynasties will likely come to an end soon. Their players are getting older, so they will need to sign some free agents and find some young talent to replace the aging veterans.

So who knows what will happen? That's what I love about OOTP.

Tuscamibsha Librarians items so far

Did some caps for the Tuscamibsha Librarians of Egrochedalli, finally, a day or so ago, to go with the already-existing uniforms for them from a good while back. Here are the uniforms again, and the caps to go along with them, then, folks.

The font currently in question for them is Newsline SF. And the current color-related details are as follows:

f9d4b8 Peach Puff (240, 212, 184)
0f7173 Skobeloff (15, 113, 115)
720e07 Barn Red (114, 14, 7)
d5ac4e Satin Sheen Gold (213, 172, 78)

Hope the caps match well with the related uniforms, of course. If anyone thinks they can perhaps somehow actually come up with at least two suitable enough logos for this team, if not more than two here, I'd greatly appreciate it here, for sure, you know, folks. Thank you for your time and all here, then. That is all for this post here, I suppose, in that case. CD out.

The writing of chapter 15 for Lighting Up the Darkness is now underway. I don't know if I'll be able to have it entirely done within a week or so, but I do hope I can still do so somehow, because I've still got a lot of other chapters yet to write for its first draft, at least, by my birthday in February, folks. That's not including all the related reference material I will no doubt have to include in the related book, of course, as well, you know, though.

I'm shooting for a maximum of about 400 pages of story content, and a maximum of about 25 or so pages of reference material, whether that material includes maps or not, in truth. At least for the first draft of this story, anyway, that is, and cut it down more and more as later drafts allow and all, if and whenever possible and appropriate and all, for sure.

I'd like to be able to have no more than about 350 to 375 pages, however, when I've finished the final draft of this story, Lord willing and all. But at this point, I really don't know how long this story will ultimately be, once I reach that point with it, if I ever do, to be sure, folks. Just so you know.

Talk more later, as time permits and all, Lord willing and all, I'm sure. Thank you all for your time and attention and all here, as always, of course. CD out.

Your book sounds like the premise of the great 5th symphony of Gustav Mahler:

Quote:
Mahler embraces an entire world through the exhilarating emotional arc of the Fifth Symphony, progressing from darkness to light and through love, loss, life, and death.
If you've never listened to it, I would highly suggest it.

I meant 350 to 375 pages, but there was an accidental mistyping there. I'm not too familiar with Mahler, but I do like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and George Gershwin, among others, for sure. I like a lot of pre-2000's country music, and of course praise and worship songs, among other music, as well. I'm not much for certain other kinds of music, and I definitely do not listen to certain varieties of music if and when I can possibly ever avoid doing so, of course, for various reasons. Just so you know, jg2977. CD out.

It wouldn't hurt to sample some Mahler, would it now? There's a reason why when orchestras do concerts of his music, they are usually completely sold out. You could sample some it, and if you decide you like it great. If you don't, that's ok too. I could give you suggestions of what to listen too. I am a Mahler expert and own over 150 recordings of his symphonies.

Mahler's 7th symphony also keeps with the dark to light theme, in the progression of night to day. There are beautiful melodies and orchestrations throughout.

Finally, I bet you would love Mahler's 2nd symphony. It is frequently known as "The Resurrection." The progression of the work follows a narrative from death to life, beginning with a funeral march and ending with the triumph of resurrection. It is the work that made me fall in love with Mahler's music. I listened to Sir Simon Rattle conducting the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

His music may give you ideas and inspiration for your book.

The majority of my story takes place in some version of the 16th Century AD, at least for its main action scenes. Although my narrator does come from some version of the 21st Century AD, in truth, when he is suddenly transferred somehow from his home nation and world and time to another time and place elsewhere in the Universe, to be sure.

I've been working on this story since November of 2019, and I was originally hoping to have it done at least in first-draft status by December of last year, I believe. But I have gotten stalled quite a bit frequently while periodically working on it, for various reasons, unfortunately, ever since I started writing it back then. Hopefully, though, once I get past chapter 17, if and when I do, which I expect to be the climactic chapter, I should be able to write most of the rest of the story easier, for then I'll only have one more major chapter to write for it, it seems to me here. With that chapter being the next-to-last chapter of the entire story, of course, with a final battle-style chapter for it, in fact.

Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm sure. Lord willing and all, that is, you know, jg2977. CD out.
