Larry Brown

Catcher Larry Brown had a lengthy Negro Leagues career lasting from 1921 to 1947. He spent the most time with the Memphis Red Sox. His second greatest tenure (5 seasons) was with the Chicago American Giants. He is shown here with the American Giants in a photo from the Seamheads.com website.

Lester Lockett

Lester Lockett played the infield and outfield for several Negro League teams, mostly the Birmingham Black Barons and Baltimore Elite Giants, over a career lasting from 1937 through 1948. John W. Patterson

John W. Patterson was an outfielder (plus a few games in the infield) for several Negro League teams during the period of 1894-1908. The photo caption places him as manager of the Columbia Giants of Chicago, 1899-1900, but the top word on his chest doesn't appear to be Columbia. The bottom word could be Giants. The image is from Sol White's HISTORY OF COLORED BASEBALL.

He spent the most years with the Baltimore Black Sox (8) and Philadelphia Stars (3). Robert Boyd

Walter "Rev" Cannady

Walter "Rev" Cannady was an infielder with a lengthy career in the Negro Leagues which lasted from 1921 to 1945. The teams with which he played the most games were the Harrisburg Giants, New York Black Yankees, Homestead Grays, and Hilldale. He eventually became the manager of the Black Yankees.
