I confess that I'm pretty tight on bandwidth atm. I'm falling behind on the ones I already got, and my real job is a bear right now but, that said, I'm sure there is a lot of interest out there for getting facegens done for the early rounders. As you go through them, tell me the worst ones or hardest ones and I'll try to tackle those (for better or worse). Maybe the top ten you'd like me to do so I don't get overwhelmed.

Appreciate it. They'll come tomorrow. I've gone through and checked aboit the first 5 rounds roughly to see which college players are in the game or not and will go back and see who doesn't have a pick.

Eventually, but I think Fancy is only updating the main file on page 1 a couple times a year. For those that want interim downloads (rather than downloading each from the forum) of my work, I do monthly supplements and post them for download. Here's the post where I put the link up.

Has anyone heard when the OOTP dev team will release the new format for caps? They often disappear off the heads of players when reloading a saved game-

Jackson Chourio is a supernova among the prospect universe. He signed with the Brewers out of Venezuela as part of the 2020-21 international signing class, at the time Baseball America had him as a top 15 prospect in the class. He reportedly dominated extended spring training in 2021, but the Brewers sent the then 17-year old to the Dominican Summer League where he excelled (131 wRC+) despite a slow start. Fast forward to extended spring training in 2022 and Chourio once again absolutely dominated his competition including four home runs in his first five games. This time the Brewers got more aggressive with his promotion, sending him to Single-A in Carolina just two months after he’d turned 18-years old. He was the youngest player in full season ball, and the only player born in 2004 above complex league baseball as of June 2022. Chourio’s debut in the Carolina League didn’t disappoint as he put up offensive numbers at such a young age (18) on par with only a handful of eventual elite level major leaguers. - brewerfanatic.com

I think they are still trying to lock down the cause. I thought it was fixed and then it seems to have popped again with more reports than before. I've never had it happen in my games.

Jack Suwinski reached into his locker Saturday at American Family Field and pulled out one of the secrets to his success this season.

A bat? Well, no, although Suwinski loves tinkering with those, including a few models with a counterweighted knob that recently arrived.

What Suwinski, the Pirates’ terrific rookie, actually grabbed was a notebook, one designed for high school or youth players and something he snagged from RYP Hitting, an offseason training facility he shares with longtime friend Marc Mantucca.

This is where Suwinski logs detailed descriptions of his at-bats, including the date, opponent, pitcher, sequence, result and notes about what he felt or thought during and after the at-bat. It’s something Suwinski does to organize his thoughts and also to create a study tool.

“I’m not as smart as I think I am. We’re not as smart as we think we are. Our feelings as athletes, they’re fleeting,” Suwinski said. “But writing that stuff down, it helps me remember how I felt and what I was thinking, and it allows me to go back to those thoughts.” - Pittsburgh-Post Gazette

Taylor Floyd served as a reliever at Texas Tech and pitched just 10.1 innings for Rookie-level Rocky Mountain in his pro debut. Then he had nowhere to play in 2020 as the pandemic shut down the minor leagues. The Brewers kept Floyd in the bullpen when they assigned him to High-A Wisconsin to start the season. He moved to Double-A Biloxi to close the season. In total he made 40 appearances and logged a 2.89 ERA with 84 strikeouts and 24 walks in 56 innings. He allowed a .189 average.

“Taylor is a competitor. I know we throw that term around a lot in the game, but he really knows how to compete,” Brewers farm director Tom Flanagan said.

He throws from a low arm slot that results in plenty of armside run and sink. The 24-year-old's out pitch is a sweeping slider that is devastating to righthanded hitters. As it stands now, the Brewers’ plan is to continue giving Floyd the ball in high-leverage relief situations next season. And after watching him thrive for a full season, they firmly believe he will pitch in the major leagues, perhaps sooner than later. - Baseball America

The Arizona Diamondbacks made some moves in the offseason to shore up a bullpen that struggled during the 2021 season. Among them was signing veteran right-handed reliever Ian Kennedy. A familiar face, Kennedy was excited to get the opportunity to be back in the Valley. He pitched for the Snakes from 2010 to 2013 and finished fourth in National League Cy Young voting in 2011. “I’m familiar with the area,” he said. “I have a lot of good memories playing here. There are just a lot of good feels coming back wearing the Diamondbacks logo again.”

During his first stint with the Diamondbacks, Kennedy was part of a rotation that included another young starter in Daniel Hudson. The two were key pieces to a Diamondbacks team that made the playoffs in 2011 by way of winning the National League West Division title. “I’m still chasing 2011 and that feeling I had going into the playoffs. There were so many good memories, and that’s the best time I’ve had.”

During the 2019 season while he was with the Royals, he was floated the idea of permanently moving to the bullpen. “It’s just something totally different than the previous 10 to 12 years of (my career), or even my whole life of just starting,” Kennedy said. “So, it’s totally different, but I’m having a crazy amount of fun doing it.” Though he was initially unsure of the transition to the bullpen, Kennedy now knows it was ultimately for the best. “I really like it,” he said. “I think it gave me another life, allowed me to play longer, and gave my arm and my body a lot more life.”

The Royals announced they’ve designated outfielder Dairon Blanco for assignment. Blanco spent about two weeks on the roster. The speedster picked up a pair of starts in center field and tallied his firsts seven big league plate appearances, collecting a pair of singles. Prior to his call-up, Blanco hit 113 times with the Storm Chasers and had a solid .263/.381/.442 slash line. The 29-year-old swiped 13 bases in only 31 games, hitting five home runs with an excellent 15% walk rate but a lofty 25.7% strikeout percentage.

Kansas City will have a week to trade Blanco or place him on waivers. A Cuba native, he didn’t make his affiliated debut until his age-25 season. His advanced age has diminished his prospect status, but he draws praise for blistering speed and has a solid track record in the upper minors. - MLB TradeRumors

Known more for his pitchability than his stuff as an amateur, he opened eyes by sitting at 94-95 mph and touching 97 in instructional league that fall. He maintained that velocity throughout his pro debut last summer, earning Low-A West pitcher of the year honors and leading the league in ERA (3.19) and strikeouts per nine innings (14.3).

After working with a low-90s fastball that stood out more for sink and command as an amateur, Harrison now blows hitters away up in the strike zone with a mid-90s heater that reaches 98 mph with plenty of armside run. His slider also has gotten sharper and harder, parking at 82-85 mph while proving effective against hitters from both sides of the plate. He's gaining faith in a changeup with similar velocity and some fade, and it should become at least an average pitch once fully developed.

Harrison delivers from a low-three-quarters slot that adds action to his pitches and should make him especially tough on left-handers, though they tagged him for a .797 OPS in 2021 (compared to .617 by right-handers). Hitters have trouble barreling and lifting his pitches. He's still learning to harness his newfound stuff, as evidenced by his 4.7 walks per nine innings in his debut, and he could move quickly once he does.

Not at all crushing your work because it literally makes such a huge impact on our game experience (plus, I have no idea how facegen works), but do you ever find guys end up looking more "generic" when you do them sometimes, like it's not really capturing their unique features?

Like in this Ian Kennedy example, the new one looks more "human" but the old one looks more like HIM, or at least a caricature of him. I wish there was more of a middle ground sometimes, but maybe that's a limit of the facegen program.
