I'll be here.
Also, I have a first round pick in the up coming draft that I will trade for the best offer of season three draft picks in return or the right 6 rated LHW.

It's hard to keep a good man down. Alas, it's pretty easy to keep a Bink down, at least until the count of 10

Season 2 EOY Tournament - Heavyweight (Finals)
UTBA-II Season 2 Heavyweight EOY Tournament - Finals
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas NV (USA) 6 May 2009 Finals: #13 - CH-Alexander Zolkin 28-15-2 (15) vs. #11 - Chris Byrd 27-14-2 (8) Tournament Final will be the first meeting between Zolkin and Byrd. In the tournament, Alexander Zolkin (Tomato City) defeated #4 seed Frank Bruno (U15), #12 seed Earnie Shavers (KO14) and #16 seed CH-Ray Mercer (TKO10). Chris Byrd (IceTeaBoxing) defeated #6 seed Tom Sharkey (KO9), #14 seed Lee Ramage (S15) and #10 seed Andrew Golota. Chris Byrd W-U15 CH-Alexander Zolkin Definitely an unlikely pair to be featured in the EOY finals. Both Zolkin and Byrd showed uncharacteristic KO ability in their early matches. This match turned out to be a classic boxing match between two defense-first fighters. The only knockdown in this fight occured in the 15th and final round when an exhausted Zolkin found himself on the canvas. He struggled to his feet and lasted until the final bell. The scorecards were all in favor for Chris Byrd: 143-141, 145-139, 145-139. For the fight, Byrd landed 414 of 839 punches and Zolkin landed only 240 of 909. -------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations to the winner of the Season 2 EOY HW Tournament - #11 seed - Chris Byrd (IceTeaBoxing) Byrd W-KO9 #6 - Tom Sharkey Byrd W-S15 #14 - Lee Ramage Byrd W-KO2 #10 - Andrew Golota Byrd W-U15 #13 - (CH)Alexander Zolkin

Season 2 EOY Tournament - Light Heavyweight (Finals)
UTBA-II Season 2 Light Heavyweight EOY Tournament - Finals
Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff (WALES) 6 May 2009 Finals: #12 - CH-Lucian Bute 30-12-2 (22) vs. #3 - Michael Moorer 42-6-2 (29) Tournament Final will be the first meeting between Bute and Moorer. In the tournament, Lucian Bute defeated #5 seed Jack Delaney (TKO12(c)), #13 seed Bob Murphy (U15) and #1 seed CH-Roy Jones Jr (KO11). Moorer defeated #14 seed Prince Charles Williams (KO9), #11 seed Tony Anthony (KO7) and #15 seed Chad Dawson (U15). CH-Lucian Bute W-U15 Michael Moorer Bute jumped all over Moorer in the opening round and scored a quick knockdown. He dropped Moorer again in the 5th and it was clear that Moorer was not in this fight. In the later rounds Moorer began to score points as Bute tired, even causing a bit of swelling over Bute's right eye in the 11th. Bute was the busier fighter overall and landed 333 of 1259 punches. Moorer was more accurate, landing 258 of 780. Moorer's late rally was not enough to overcome the 2 early knockdowns. Judges scorecards: 143-140, 148-137, 144-140 all for Lucian Bute. -------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations to the winner of the Season 2 EOY LHW Tournament - #12 seed - Lucian Bute (IceTeaBoxing) Bute W-TKO12 (c) #5 - Jack Delaney Bute W-U15 #13 - Bob Murphy Bute W-KO11 #1 - (CH)Roy Jones Jr Bute W-U15 #3 - Michael Moorer |

Guys, I'm having internet access problems. Every time it rains, I lose my connection.
I've already lost a couple of writeups b/c my connection dropped as I posted. Hopefully I can post the rest tomorrow. I also had a nice long post in the UTBA thread listing the draft order and how it was determined, but of course I lost it when I submitted it and my connection dropped. So far, I've got 12 confirmations for next season. |

Season 2 EOY Tournament - Middleweight (Finals)
UTBA-II Season 2 Middleweight EOY Tournament - Finals
Sydney Stadium, Sydney NSW (AUSTRALIA) 6 May 2009 Finals: #4 - CH-Jermain Taylor 36-10-0 (28) vs. #2 - Michael Nunn 50-7-2 (27) This finals match between Jermain Taylor and Michael Nunn is a rematch of last season's EOY tournament semi-final bout in which Michael Nunn won a slim 15-round split decision. Taylor's path in the tournament included wins over #13 seed Harris Martin (TKO5), #5 seed Michael Watson (KO11) and #8 seed CH-Tony Ayala Jr (TKO5). Nunn reaches the finals for the second consecutive season with victories over #15 seed Artie Towne (KO12), #10 seed Tiger Flowers (KO14) and #6 seed Charles Turner (KO10). Michael Nunn W-U15 Jermain Taylor Jermain Taylor's MW title reign is over. Nunn clearly wanted to prove that his previous split decision victory over Taylor did not show the world how talented he really is. Nunn knocks down Taylor a total of 4 times in this bout - once in the 7th, once in the 13th and twice in the 14th. Nunn face also showed considerable swelling around his right eye while Nunn was unmarked. It was difficult for the judges to find more than a couple of rounds for Taylor and the scorecards ended up: 149-133, 147-135, 148-134. In the fight, Nunn landed 476 of 1235 punches. Taylor landed only 201 of 1135 punches. -------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations to the winner of the Season 2 EOY MW Tournament - #2 seed - Michael Nunn (Hebron Haymakers) Nunn W-KO12 #15 - Artie Towne Nunn W-KO14 #10 - Tiger Flowers Nunn W-KO10 #6 - Charles Turner Nunn W-U15 #4 - (CH)Jermain Taylor |

Season 2 EOY Tournament - Welterweight (Finals)
UTBA-II Season 2 Welterweight EOY Tournament - Finals
Halifax Forum, Halifax, Nova Scotia (CANADA) 6 May 2009 Finals: #1 - CH-Henry Armstrong 23-0-0 (22) vs. #3 - Zab Judah 40-9-1 (23) First meeting between CH-Henry Armstrong (Muckboys) and Zab Judah (Undisputed Champions). Armstrong steamrolled through the tournament with victories over #16 seed Paul Fujii (KO7), #8 seed John H Stracey (TKO8) and #5 seed Miguel Angel Cotto (KO11). Judah reached the finals with wins over #14 seed Carlos Quintana (U15), #11 seed Adolph Pruitt (TKO7) and #10 seed Johnny Bumphus (U15). CH-Henry Armstrong W-KO14 Zab Judah Can anyone stop Henry Armstrong? Maybe next season, but for now, he finished his rookie season 24-0-0 (23) and is the reigning WW champion. As for the fight, Judah tried his best, but was just completely outgunned. Armstrong knocked Judah down 5 times in the bout - once in the 8th, once in the 10th, twice in the 11th and once in the 14th. Armstrong landed 302 of 1158 punches while Judah landed only 182 of 491 punches. -------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations to the winner of the Season 2 EOY WW Tournament - #1 seed - Henry Armstrong (Muckboys) Armstrong W-KO7 #16 - Paul Fujii Armstrong W-TKO8 #8 - John H Stracey Armstrong W-KO11 #5 - Miguel Angel Cotto Armstrong W-KO14 #3 - Zab Judah |

Season 2 EOY Tournament - Lightweight (Finals)
UTBA-II Season 2 Lightweight EOY Tournament - Finals
Color Line Arena, Altona, Hamburg (GERMANY) 6 May 2009 Finals: #9 - CH-Roberto Duran 18-5-0 (16) 1DQ vs. #6 - Beau Jack 39-11-1 (20) First meeting between rookie CH-Roberto Duran and Beau Jack. Duran reached the finals after defeating #8 seed Artur Grigorian (U15), #1 seed CH-Art Aragon (KO1) and #9 seed Edwin Valero (TKO1). Beau Jack enters the finals with wins over #11 seed Carlos Navarro (U15), #3 seed Michael Katsidis (U15) and #15 seed Cornelius Boza-Edwards (S15). CH-Roberto Duran W-TKO5 (c) Beau Jack Another victory for a rookie in the tournament finals. This fight never really materialized due to a very bad forehead cut suffered by Jack in the second round. Cuts like this usually bleed profusely, and this one was no different. Even though his corner was able to stop the flow of blood, Duran targeted the cut and reopened it in the 3rd round. Jack had his best round in the 4th where he was able to land a few good shots which caused swelling over Duran's left eye. All of that good was erased in the 5th when the cut is reopened for the 2nd time and this time, the blood was running into Jack's eyes to the point where his vision was impaired. The referee stops this fight on the advice of the ringside physician. For Beau Jack, this loss makes him 0-2 in EOY tournament finals matches. -------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations to the winner of the Season 2 EOY LW Tournament - #9 seed - Roberto Duran (Villebillies) Duran W-U15 #8 - Artur Grigorian Duran W-KO1 #1 - (CH)Art Aragon Duran W-TKO1 #4 - Edwin Valero Duran W-TKO5 (c) #6 - Beau Jack |

Both fighters found themselves battered by the last round with Chocolate nursing a swollen eye that began in the 8th round. Saldivar's face was a swollen mess, with his left eye damaged in the 7th and a huge lump under his right eye in the 13th. By the last few rounds, Saldivar was completely exhausted.
