Big Red would like to sign a fight between Clay & Calvin Brock, 7-0-0 (6) to be held at the Bob Devaney Center in Lincoln, NE if possible.

That is a fight that can be arranged. Brock would have the advantage to choose the venue however. Brock has the better record so he would have the home court venue. Would that be acceptable? The last option is to go random choice, Brock 75% - Clay 25% to pick neutral venue closer to that person's hometown.

Clay has informed me that he would be more than happy to embarrass Brock on his home turf. Clay was just trying to be a good sport and give Brock the opportunity to take his beating away from his hometown. Clay has his bags packed. So just tell him when and where to be.....and he'll take Brock out in three.

Brock has signed the contract to fight Clay. His handlers think that it will be a tough fight, but just a mere stepping stone to a world title.

March 29, 1980

Joe Bugner, England, 2-0-0 vs. Bert Gilroy, Scotland, 6-1-0 (3)

March 29, 1980 - Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, Scotland. Gilroy takes command of the ring in the 1st round and traps Bugner on the ropes. Bugner responds with a strong round of his own in the 2nd. The 3rd round is a free-for-all, as the crowd stands and shows its appreciation. Gilroy walks into a punch that he doesn’t see coming and pays the price by ending up on his back in the 4th. Gilroy misses a shot to the body and is countered with a right cross that puts him down for the 2nd time in the fight during the 5th round. Bugner seems to be in control of the fight when Gilroy lands a wicked hook that puts Bugner down in the 7th. We are getting a great fight for the price of admission tonight! I guess Bugner has fully recovered from the last round, because he lands a combination that puts Gilroy down again in the 8th! The last two rounds are back and forth action as the potential fight of the year candidate goes to the scorecards.

Winner: Bugner
Result: (UD10)
Cards: 96-90, 95-91, 95-92, all three cards in favor of Bugner
Punch stats: Bugner 239-627, 38.1% - Gilroy 168-697, 24.1%
TPE: 0.25
Streak: W3
