Absolutely... I've had other commishes contact GMs in the leagues I've run, but they've always asked for permission to do so. Just an act of courtesy and I'm always fine with it.

My league is doign fine with owners, just my waiting list that i always keep full of owners is dwindling, and I wanted to get some people to put on it for when an opening opened up. Get over it man, didnt think you would be such a baby and complain about such a little thing. I wouldnt mind if you contacted my gm's its a very minor deal which you are trying to make act liek a felony.

To me, the sign of a good league isn't a "full" waiting list. Let's face it, the best leagues have such little turnover that a true waiting list wouldn't be of much use since many of those potential owners on it won't be interested by the time an opening comes around. A true waiting list should be people who have contacted you with interest in the league, saying something like "Let me know when you have an opening". It should NOT ideally be a list of people that you have contacted.

if i werent bashed so much in these boards it would be like that, thats how it was in my last league, but now that I have people int his forum that wont even allow me to run my league i have to contact people seeing if the are interested.
And in any league you are in at the beginning you need a waiting list because of people dropping spots and not being interested anymore because of turnover for the league to start or they dont like a rule or they dont liek contraction or something like that. Most of the owners that quit usually do in the first week or so, atleast this is how it was in my old league, MLB2. So I was trying to establish a list since there were a couple i thought wouldnt make good gm's and would quit and they ended up doing so. So getting the list together paid off, even if I only got 3 peple out of 50 that wanted a team they are good gm's and there is a small success rate of finding a good owner but it is worth the sifting through gm's to find quality gm's that will stay in your league and be active for years to come. It isnt a crime to contact people from another league as aim is public information and therefore i dont understand why raderick is complaining other than he thinks my league will outdue his. |

He wants people to leave him alone, yet he keeps bringing things up.
No he's not an attention whore at all.

Afterward she went on a media blitz, appearing on every show from Larry King to Good Morning America claiming she "just wants her life back". Then she went on to pose for Playboy and still insisted people leave her alone so she can just resume her "normal" life.

Holy Cow, can we let this thread die already? It's about as boring as watching paint dry.

I disagree, I had quite a nice time reading it, and let out several hearty guffaws at some of the hilarity that it contains. someone out there needs to let me know when threads like these are developing. I'd have liked to have gotten in on the action. oh well, some other day. |
