Hugh Duffy of Portland was named Manager of the Year for his A-ball league.
Baton Rogue players retiring Diepolt Lorre - He came to the organization from the Red Sox in the Johnny Kling trade back in 1909. He got as high as AAA a few times, but couldn't make the jump. Bob Richards - signed a minor league contract with Brooklyn three weeks ago. Has never made it higher than AAA across many organizations. Jack Beck - Brooklyn traded for him three times, most recently in 1912 from the Highlanders. Has never topped AA.
