He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2027 Reliever of the Year Award for the National League. "There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Minarik said. The new teams will be the Brigham Young Cougars, the Loyola Marymount Lions, the Pacific Tigers, the Portland Pilots, the St. Mary's Gaels, the San Diego Toreros, the San Francisco Dons, and the Santa Clara Broncos. In addition to these teams forming the new West Coast Conference (as a professional league), Gonzaga and Pepperdine have chosen to leave the American West and join up with their former WCC mates.
